I'm just curious, but I have seen on some profiles here on LGW.com that Babcock should be fired. I don't understand why anyonw would say that. I personally think he is the best coach in the NHL right now. He reminds me alot of Scotty. Getting rid of Babs would be a huge mistake. I just wanted to get some reaction from the rest of Redwings nation. Now lets talk about Fedorov, JUST KIDDIN!!!!!!!!

What about Hamilton Ontario, I know that they have the Bulldogs, but if they would have gotten an NHL franchise they still would have had the Bulldogs. I don't know about Southern Illinois, but I don't think there is much down there in the way of Hockey, Hell even Kansas City may be interesting!! I forgot that Tampa Bay had ties to the Vipers, and now that I remember that was the beginning of the end for them, but I think didn't New Jersey have the affiliate rights to the Vipers when they began?? I remember for some reason the Peter Sykora was on the Vipers then was playing in Jersey, could be wrong about that! I would seriously consider Louisville or Lexington, I know that College B-Ball is huge there, but I think a Junior Hockey team could do well there, it gives the public another option, I don't think its too far south to worry, and I think there would be enough interest to draw 4-5000 fans during a homestand. I thought about possibly having a team like that down south of Nashville, around the Franklin, Spring Hill area. There are a ton of Wings fans down here that would love to see hockey in there back yards!!!

The way I understand it is the Preds have to average 14,000 in attendance, or they will lose both the lease as well as the revenue. I live just south of Nashville and I would like to see the team stay, but the city has already taxed the hell out of Davidson County for the Titans, I don't think they can afford the Preds. Revenue for the city by having the team here does nothing for the citizens of Daivdson County. Most of the people that go to the games don't live in Davidson County.

I love the research, and infact I'm looking into working for a minor league hockey team once I graduate college, my degree will be in Business Management, and I want to work in the front office, so this topic is very interesting to me. However, I think GR is a bit taxed because of the College Teams as well as the other Teams so close to the city. I'm not sure that with the job market the way it is in Michigan that people can afford to come to games anymore, I would look at like Louisville, Cincinnati, Lexington, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis and possibly Milwaukee, those ciites I think have the hunger for a team and I think would welcome anything. Columbus I think would be a good fit and would give a Team like the Bluejackets a run for there money simply because it is hard to get tickets there right now, and I think people would settle for a USHL team. Remember when Detroit had the Vipers, worked out great because getting Wings tickets was next to impossible, once they came available the Vipers went bye, bye. That is just my thoughts.

Ok not too bad, but I did see a Lightning jersey that was on the logos tournament that looked like s***!! It had a cloud with a Bolt of Lightning coming out of the bottom of the cloud, with the Blue, Black and Silver colors, I was affraid that was the jersey they would choose.

I have always like the Hawks jerseys. I though they had the most colorful jerseys inthe league, however they are a rival,, but I do like there sweaters!!

Well everyone wanted a rival this year, now we have one. ANAHEIM. I remember how much it hurt to see Colorado hoist the Cup in 1996, and I think everyone remembers what happened in 1997! I really hope we play them again next year in the Playoffs more importantly in the West Final and If I could write a " hollywood script" I would love to win it in Anaheim.

This just showes that if you don't stick with Bettmans "plan" then he will get rid of you. It also proves that Bettmanis a Communist. I don't feel that Brett said anything that hurt the game, he just gave the new fans something to look at and to open new minds to the game. We'll still be able to see Don Cherry!!!

Man, there are just too many moments for me. It goes all the way back to when we played Edmonton in round one in 1988 ( I think that was the year), but we were seriously out matched and we won game 4 at home and I remeber the chants of one more game and Saturday Night. Stevie Ys goal in double ot, Macs goal in Game 4 in 1997, Langs goal in SJ game 4 this year, fight game in 1997 vs Colorado, the Cup in 1998 with Vlady, To pick one is impossible, being a Wings fan, PRICELESS!!! If I can tell you all anything get the Wings DVD, it is awesome, lots of history and GREAT MOMENTS!!

SPOT ON!!!! I don't think its time to panic just yet!! Everyone has to remember that the only team Anaheim had to play in the playoffs was Detroit, while we had to go through a tough Calgary, and San Jose. They had Minnesota Vancouver and then Ottawa , They got a good draw, just like the Wings did in 1998. You have to realize that Bertuzzi is buddies with Burke, so with that being said, I think Anaheim over paid for him, there is no way in Holy Hell that I resign Bert for 4 mill, a year, Sorry!!

Here is how I see this Free Agency going: The Wings need to sign the guys we plan to keep (BERT, HASEK, MARKOV, SCHEDS) Then if we have some cash left over then maybe get a Kozlov, or something like that, if we can get Feds for a million, then great, but I don't want Kenny going after someone like Smyth or Gomez and overpaying for these guys. Let these overpaid smucks go to Columbus, Florida or where ever and lose and lose and lose, because the bottom line is I want players that want to win, not cash in, and I think the Wings have done a good job of making sure that happens. Lets be honest here we don't need a huge free agent splash to go further than we did this year, I think this team is great and with the new kids coming up from GR, this team is going to be tough to beat next year, but we must resign our UFAs first, I know it sound like I'm beating a dead horse, but that is the way I see it.

Here is what we need to do!! Resign Schinder, Markov, Bertuzzi and Hasek. There is no reason to mess up what we have, I understand that Scheinds may get more money else where, but he has to know that his career is just about over and this may be his last chance to win a cup, that is the same for Bert, Markov and Dom. I really think Schineds is bluffing, at least I hope so. We let Lang and Calder go, so I can't see why we wouldn't be able to sign Matty, Danny, Bert and Dom. GET IT DONE KENNY!!!

Too many times, I remember when Pronger won it with St.Louis, He totally did not deserve that. Sometimes I feel Nick does not get the respect he deserves.
