I was born and raised in Metro Detroit. I was an electrician in the Greater Detroit Area, due to layoffs I had to move to Tennessee where the industry is AWESOME!! I watched every Wings game on Center Ice this year and attended 1 Wings game in Nashville. I know what it feels like to be in your guys shoes and I really hope things turn around up there because I would move back in a second. I miss my family and friends. Hockey is NOT big down here at all, and I hate that or you get the fair weather Predaturds fans who don't know what offside is, it completely sucks. What i miss the most is attending Wings games at the Joe, but with those prices I would also be watching on TV. I like the fact the Joe isn't selling out, it shows that the Wings are not the only thing going on and maybe Mr. I will grow a set and drop the prices. Even when the economy was good the prices were too high. Just my thoughts!!

We are 1 hour away from me dawning my Hank jersey, and the beginning of round 2!!! I simply cannot wait. COME ON BOYS!!!!! I'm going to have to fire up some HEY HEY HOCKEYTOWN!!!!!! for the neighbors at my apartment complex!!!! REDWINGS, MY REDWINGS COME ON COME ON COME ON!!!!

Ahhh Yes, the Legion of Broom!!! I remember that quite well!!!!! I really remember the parade in Downtown after that series too, it was off the hook!! I like the fact San Jose is Confident,I think it brings the best out of the Wings. If we stay out of the box we have a great shot against these guys, if we don't we are toast!!! If I'm not mistaken, Nashville was 3-1 against San Jose this year, so I guess that doesn't mean much!! I kept saying all year long Nashville was OVERATED!! SHARK, its whats for Dinner!!!!! UMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Heres the skinny on ESPN. ESPN had the NHL rights for the 2005 season, well the NHL went on strike after ESPN payed all of the money for that year. ESPN decided that they want nothing to do with the NHL. They would rather show another boring Poker match than the NHL. I still enjoy ESPN, but they do have there own agenda,and that is to make money. Poker championship is straight up profit, it takes 2 cameras and 2 idiots to braodcast, pretty cheap. ESPN does an awesome job with college sports and I love that!! The NHL gets the shaft, I wish I could get the hockey network or TSN because they have the best coverage for the NHL!!!! I think someone will step up and pick up the NHL.

I cannot believe someone is defending The Flamers!!!! Playfair intended McClennen to do what he did, there is no doubt about it,for you to come on here and have the stones to say that is CRAZY!!!! so if that is fair in your eyes, then I guess not only did I lose alot of respect for the Flames but some of there fans as well, Just remember, what goes around,comes around!!! I think Forsberg is going back to Philly!!! Nashville has to resign Karyia, Hartnell and a host of others. Once again Paul Karyia showed what an overrated piece of crap he is, I just don't see why people get so excited about him, HE SUCKS!!!! This could be the end of Nashville, but in a way I hope not because we need a team like them in our division, I think it has helped us this year!!

Well folks, I don't want to sound like a broken record, but this is game 7 for us!! We lose today we are done tomorrow!! No doubt about it!! We have to ghetto stomp these guys this afternoon, we need to have Homer or Bert smash into Kipper a couple of times to keep his booty in the crease, he is killing us by being able to move out 5 feet infront of the net to be able to slow up traffic. I stand corrected, I looked at Dats stats on Redwings.com and it said he did get credit for winning the cup and in fact he did it in his first try, so i guess TSN was wrong, which is wierd!! Pavel also was part of the Cup going to Russia in 2002. Chalk one up for Pavel!!!!

I'm not sure if Dats played in the Finals though, I know for a fact he played the 7-0 victory over Colorado, I don't remember him playing in the 02 Cup finals, I'll keep looking. Good point on the incorrect stats.

I remember a few years ago Cherry calling Maltby a sissy (or something like that) during a Wings game in Toronto, because Malts wears a visor. The announcer after the game ask Malts what he thought of Cherrys' comment, and he said "I don't give a damn what Cherry has to say, I would like to see him say it to my face". I will never forget that on HNIC, and I think Malts even had a goal that night at the ACC. Does anyone else remember that??

Yeah I seen that by Mr. Cherry. I think Dallas could be a dark horse in the West, they have played well lately and they all have been games against playoff teams with the exception of St.Louis. The Sabres are awesome rightnow, but I think you might want to avoid the Leafs, the Leafs may not win the series, but they will be tough and I think the two cities would love a matchup like that. The other team to watch out for is Ottawa, they scare the hell out of me. Good Luck to your Sabres, I respect the Hell out of Buffalo, Ilove the city ang their fans, I'm also a huge Bills fan, its nice to see a small market team succed.

Now that we have other teams fans here, who do you all think has the best team to win the cup, and what team do you least want to play?? and of course warm welcome to all visting teams, I look forward to getting to know all of you. This is a fun time of year for me. This is the reason I was put on this earth,playoff hockey. Best tourney in sports!!!!

Honestly I would rather play Calgary because they have been on a down hill slide lately and playing Colorado a team that has only lost once in fifteen games would be extremly tough. I think Calgary will defeat Edmonton tonight to end all of Colorados hopes!!!

Well Holy HELL!!! I have charter and I have Center Ice, but if the game is on VS, it is NOT on CI, so I'm f***ed if the Wings are on VS. I'm going to be pissed if this does happen, hopefully CI picks up the slack for me!!!!

Oh yeah!!! If were are playing for fourth overall then your right we have wasted our time, homeice would be huge for us, however if we do get homeice we need to win those games, we cannot blow 3-0 leads at home late in the third. As for hanging another banner, the only banner I want to see is a Stanley Cup Banner, that is what counts.

Bingo! If we don't get Dallas or San Jose we get Calgary or maybe Minnesota. The best we can do is hope for home ice. However, to be the best you have to beat the best. Plus the presidents trophy isn't the end of the world because Buffalo will not have an easy road either. Ottawa, Pittsburgh and New Jersey and whoever makes the bottom seeds in the east will not be an easy team to play either. The biggest thing I have figured is just worry about yourself (The Wings) not what Nashville or anyone else is doing. Thats just me!!

I know this is for fun, but I live near Nashville and I just think that Nashville will not have a hockey team in 5 yrs, you cannot support a hockey team on just fan base anymore, your need the corporate world and the city of Nashville and the surrounding businesses don't seem interested because they already support the Titans and the Nashville Sounds who are building a new baseball stadium in downtown, with hotels and condos and shopping malls. So my pick would be Nashville in the US, but as for Canada, this is tough, but if Ottawa does not do anything in the playoffs this year I think I would have to pick them, and I think there fans will be pissed if they bow out early. Honestly I don't see Canada losing any of their teams I see them actually adding one city and that would be Winnipeg. Bring back the Hartford Whalers!!!! I miss the Green and Blue Jerseys!!!!! Just kidding!!!

If I remember correctly, In Colorado a radio station made up t-shirts that said "RedWings Suck" and they gave them out to people in the front row so they would be on tv. I remember seeing some people wearing them behind Scotty Bowman on a number of occasions. I still think that the Avs fans are the worst of all because of some of the horror stories that I heard from Wings fans that have attended games in Denver, Everything from getting spit on, to food thrown at them and of course name calling. Heres the thing, Detroit fans are classy and we have a lot of respect other teams (unless your playing the Pistons), but we have a lot of sports history in Detroit, and with that history comes an image and I think Detroit sports fans are the most loyal in the world (ya know LIONS!!!) it just shows because the Lions always sell out and lose and lose and lose and lose but yet we still come back for more and we don't have to worry about a revenue sharing in Detroit because our rich history and great image will always prevail. What I'm trying to say is who cares what other fans say or do we know how we handle things and thats all that matters, sometimes you have to set an example and I think we do!!!
