Carman, I'm a little confused on "my made up idea"? I'm just stating that Bettman pumps life in these welfare clubs and smacks around the Canadian Clubs as well as the big clubs in the league! Bettman keeps stating how parity in the league has made for great races in the 2 Conferences. It seems his parity is actually taking life away from teams like Edmonton and the Islanders to help pump life into the welfare teams. Sure the Oilers have young talent, but are going to have to release their vets to keep the young talent or let the young talent walk and once again find themselves with lower attendence and crappy "parity" hockey and in a new arena! But hey, we can debate this all day long I suppose.

That is EXACTLY what I shouted at the TV during his interview yesterday! He babies these welfare teams like Atlanta, Nashville, Florida, and Phoenix, but since Edmonton won't build an arena they are being harrassed by him! Lets face it, the Southern Welfare teams all have newer arena and they do not exactly pack thier areans unless the Wings are in town. If there is any team that needs a new arena it's the Islanders! Nassau is a DUMP! Infact the entire area around Nassau is a dump!

Thats an interesting trade to say the least. Kane going back home and Miller going to a team that needs help between the pipes. Not sure why Chicago thinks Miller will save them (no pun intended), because he hasn't been all that great this year with Buffalo. I think the Sabres sit 9th in the east right now as do the Hawks in the West! I have to agree with the other posts, lateral at best!

Ok.... I understand that people on here hate when the hatred for Crosby comes up on this board. However, from the names on the ballet, I have to chose Crosby. There is no doubt that the Kid has game and he could be argued as the best in the game today. but that aside the reason I hate the guy is simply the way he carries himself. Every single damn time something happens thasts against him, he and his a-hole owner Lepuke go a piss and moan to the league. Crosby reminds of that little twirp in school that got away with everything and then when someone picked on him/her or something didn't go his/her way they went to the principals office and complained untilt they got their way. Then of course the principal (in this case the league) would adjust things to suit the little twirp (Crosby). I really want to respect this guy, but I simply cannot! I have higher regard for guys that are equally talented as Crysby like Ovie, and Stamkos and such. Why the league uses this guy as a poster child is baffling to me, when we have guys in the league like Ryan Miller, Stamkos, Ovie, and I could go on and on, to tip their hat to! This good guy vs bad guy crap needs to be saved for cartoons, because if the league continues to market this crap its going to be nothing more than a Loney Tunes episode! Ok, I'm done ranting on Crosby, I just found this as the perfect spot to jump on my soap box!!

Zombi, I use to have U-Verse and yes you'll have to switch providers. I HATED U-Verse because when I signed up the sales rep told me they had NHL Center Ice, so after they guy hooked everything up I Asked him what channel is CI and he said "I do think we offer that" he then went on to say that you probably got one of those salesmen that promise you things that we do not offer! Yeah, they suck for hockey and good luck cancelling, because it was a pain in the ass doing so!

When I use to live in Nashville, Tootoo was always in the clubs and drank ALOT! He was always s*** faced drunk. He also had a serious stalking problem. There were many girls that stated he would wait outside their house and watch them, as well as simply not leave them alone. Toot's dated one of the trending country singers (can't remember her name because I hate country music) but she stated that Toot's stalked her as well after they broke up. Toot's has some serious issues, but although we all hate him on the ice, its nice to see that he realizes he has a problem and wants to fix it. Best of luck!

I understand that Dats is the superstar of the Wings, and he does just about everything for the team! But...... if we are going to sit here and throw the season away because the loss of one player, then we had no chance to begin with. I personally think this injury is good for the Wings! ADVERSITY! Right now we have too many players out there simply skating around and doing nothing, I don't think I have to mention any names. I think this may be a step up or step aside thing now. I expect to see Mule, Z, Flipper to step up huge, my dark horse is Bert and Eaves. I fully expect this team to pick it up after Christmas, no one is going to feel sorry for us. These guys need to hit the ice with a chip on their shoulders and pick it up, that includes both Goalies, these soft ass goals need to stop (yes, pun inteneded). Time to pick up the play and most importantly, PLAY REDWING HOCKEY DAMMIT!!!! LETS GO WINGS!!!!

For the life of me, why in the HELL does the game stop after a CLEAN hit??? Why do players go after each other after a CLEAN HIT???? I think the team that goes after a player after a CLEAN hit should get a delay of the game penalty (still stops the game) but would stop this crap of going after a player that lays out a clean hit!! DRIVES ME NUTS!!

Ok... The We are 4-4-2 this month so far. We have 6 games left, 2 at home and 4 on the road. Vancouver tonight, @St.Louis Tomorrow, @Minnesota (sunday) @Colorado (Monday) @Dallas (Wednesday) Islanders (New Years Eve). This is a pretty tough stretch of games. The Wings are coming home tomorrow after the game in St Louis and then heading out at 6am on Sunday to play in Minnesota, then fly to Denver after that game. I am hoping for a 3-3-0 finish to this month, making it 7-7-2 with 16 points in December. Thats basically 1 point per game this month, which I do not think is too bad considering the schedule this month!
