My favourite teams still alive are Montreal and Philadelphia, so I'll cheer for them until they are out. I hate Pittsburgh and Vancouver a lot, kinda dislike Boston and Chicago. The Sharks are hard to hate so they are my team from the West now. IMO there isn't a team left in the playoffs that can skate with them, they'll finish off Chicago in 6 and cruise over whoever represents the East, even if its Pittsburgh. San Jose has way more talent and they are all clicking. As much as I hate the Pens I would like to see that series.

This is a silly rant.. It makes the most sense, the Montreal Pittsburgh game is on at 7, so it'll end nicely before the Wings Sharks game (barring OT), not to mention 7:00pm is nicer for the San Jose fans. I much prefer this setup so I can watch both games.

I agree, this will be a loss that I will get over quickly. Howard got some valuable playoff experience. The Sharks are a team that is hard to hate, and I will be pulling for them to come out of the West. I hate the Canucks and Blackhawks but I really think the Sharks will beat either of them (the Canucks if you ask me). It seems the Penguins have a cakewalk to the SCF this year, and while I will be cheering against them all the way, a Sharks vs Penguins Final would be quite good, the Sharks easily have more talent and should take it if all goes according to this plan.

He's the best coach in the league, I hope he signs an extension

Retarded penalty by Holmstrom, glad they killed it off... If the Wings don't get the next goal this series is over
-
Howard will bounce back just like the Fiddler faceoff goal
-
I blame the Wings just as much as Howard there... waaay to passive in the last 30 seconds.. pathetic, real bad positoin
-
I saw that coming too with how passive they were being.. ugh
-
Monster goal

Awesome game for Halak and the PK... Can't wait to hear the Bell Centre in game 3, hopefully it energizes the Habs to play a better overall game.

Dead last haha wow... I had a disappointing round one indeed besides the Wings series. Might as well keep picking for who I'm cheerin for (besides Van/Chi I wish they could both lose) SJS/DET: 6 CHI/VAN: 6 PIT/MTL: 7 BOS/PHI: 6

Crosby usually plays with Kunitz and Geurin and they can't even dream of being in Sedin and Burrows' league. They also only had Poni since the trade deadline (and he's been playing with Malkin). Crosby easily has worse linemates than Henrik Sedin, that's not even debatable, even if Poni was his linemate.
-
Crosby is the most deserving of these nominees. He improved his faceoffs immensely, and took on a bigger goal scoring role in light of the fact his team has 0 good wingers. Would have been nice to see Miller nominated though, goalies always get the shaft.

It's hard to hate the Coyotes, in fact I was disappointed I had to cheer against them this series, so if they win it won't phase me much. That said, the Wings are going to take it tonight. The Wings will bounce back very strong so Bryzgalov will have to put on a clinic to pull this out. Beat him early and finish your chances, don't give them anything.

I laughed when TSN guy mentioned the stat because I was wondering how many road game 7's there could even have been in that time, I looked it up and there has only been one road game 7 since 1964, in 1991 vs the Blues. There has been 9 game 7's in total since then, the other 8, of course, at home.
-
I could easily hate the Ducks, Hawks, and Pens... But I just can't get the same kind of feeling and intensity for the Coyotes. I wouldn't be near as mad at losing to the Yotes as losing to a team like the Hawks, Canucks, or Pens. The Coyotes are just a likable team.

Terrible day for hockey 0/3
-
Funny thing is it's the same guy who scored the tying and go ahead goal
-
Can't believe the Preds screwed that up... They damn well better win on the PP
-
I will take Doughty over Keith right now in any situation, hope he wins it.
-
The NHL would be wise to make this a black and white call. Either anything off the skate while it is on the ice counts, or nothing off the skate counts. Problem solved. That said, this was rightfully disallowed, and glad the Sens won anyway
-
Green's defensive play has been improving this year from what I saw, but he's still not even close to Norris league. I think the 3rd nomination should have gone to Weber. I'm hoping to see Doughty win it, and I think he would be deserving. It is a two horse race though without a doubt. 1. Doughty 2. Keith 3. Green During a caps game I watched at the end of the season, the announcers (while they are great) were showing and talking about Green's stats pre-game and said "He should be a slam dunk for the Norris trophy". I had a laugh

Kesler will win this

Wings should put on a much better performance tonight, hopefully the PK gets fixed and the Wings find some more offense and earn the split coming back home.
