If the Wings didn't make the playoffs I could enjoy watching them without the added extreme stress on my heart I could also be more accurate in my predictions and playoff pool stuff, as I can never bring myself to predict a Wings series loss. It actually woudn't be as bad as I would have thought coming into the season. It would suck to have the streak end, but as a Wings fan we also have excuses with the ridiculous amount of significant injuries suffered this season. It's all purely hypothetical of course, as I fully expect the Wings to be comfortably in a playoff spot as the season winds down. Injured players will return, the team will keep playing well enough until then and will get their breaks soon enough.

Gotta get one here

I was thinking the same thing this morning looking at the desktop calendar wallpaper.... Perhaps not the critical turning point, but definitely a chance to gain some momentum.

Here is a great blog that summarizes the stats and most everything you would need to consider in this debate: Clearing the Smoke: Martin Brodeur I think you indeed can use the word "clearly" in this case, that Hasek, Plante, and Roy were all better.

Imagine the kind of effect it would have if Lidstrom did just lose it on his team... They'd be good to go for the rest of the season and playoffs
-
5 wins 12 losses so far and the Sens are losing terrible weekend

huh? there is no deal "on the table" it's already etched in stone.... If he comes back he'll have to fulfill his 2 year $5.75m contract with Detroit or whatever team the Wings trade him (his contract) to... I'm saying A Jiri Hudler 2 years from now at that price will be better than a Jiri Hudler this season at that price due to his experience in Russia.

If he ever wants to come back to the NHL he'll have to honour his 2 year $5.75m contract with Detroit I personally think he'll be back after 2 years and Detroit will have a better player at a better deal as a result

Most Leafs fans I've talked to don't like this trade. Tlustly was ripping it up in the A and this prospect has decent numbers in Jr. They feel it will be another classic case of giving up on someone too early. Time will tell...

Damn, the CityTV option is blacked out for me ... back to the stream
-
My Bell TV Guide has it on the channel CityE (east I assume)
-
Sweet, this game is on CityTV... since when did they have hockey games Won't have to use the stream
-
Can't drop a game to the bottom team regardless of injures, Go Wings! and good luck to Kindl in his first NHL game

^^ TSN has Keith at 5.5m, and Kane and Toews at "about" 6.3m, if you want to get more specific
-
Keith's is a cap hit of $5.5m
-
It's on TSN too, and it was announced as breaking news at the very tail end of their 6:30 Sportscentre TSN cites the same site, but they wouldn't put it up if there wasn't something to it
-
I think the tagging rule is silly...I don't fully understand it, mind you, but why should you have to make moves in the present time because of cap you are going to be adding the next season? Doesn't make sense to me.... feel free to enlighten me on their logic

Time to avenge the inexplicably botched call

All Holmstrom's fault there...
