Good luck Marian! it was a great year I'll always be a fan of yours (most likely, pending a signing and success vs the Wings )
-
Heatley to the Rangers is the first thing I thought too.... Montreal fans can kiss Vinny goodbye, kind of too bad....
-
I was hopin to see Captain Chelios out there in 2010 but Burke has already said he'll have a non-playing role

Yeah I'm hoping we hear some news within the next few hours at the latest -

I hope we know soon, it's getting close to Holland's self imposed deadline -

I saw some flashes of hope in Howard's play... coming up with large clutch saves the odd time... I'm confident that when he gets into a rhythm he'll be alright. -
Pretty sure Helm is a lock to start the season as well

Calgary paid only a 3rd round pick... Leopold is a pending UFA as well and they came to the understanding that they wouldn't be able sign him.

Jay Bouwmeester's Rights traded to Calgary

Likewise.... Heatley-Jokinen-Iginla would be quite the trio -

There's also Timonen and Hartnell -
Great deal for Philly short-term.... terrible deal long term... massive overpayment... If he signs an extension it eases the pain, if they win a Cup nobody cares.... With beating the Ducks this year in the playoffs and them losing Pronger, my hate for them has subsided considerably..... I like the Flyers and I hope they find success next season with this addition

First year that I'm actually going to watch the draft in anticipation of some big trades... I'd love to see the roof come off that place when Bettman announces a trade between Montreal and Tampa Bay
-
They both took discounts to stay here... take a look at Jeff Finger's 3.5 million per year and tell me that Stuart at 3.75 is overpaid.... Stuart was incredible for us in these playoffs especially with the injuries we had to Lidstrom and Rafalski.... I recall him playing 27 minutes some nights Ralaski certainly could've gotten more than 6 on the open market, and Stuart probably could've gotten around 5. The latter is #4 on the Wings but would be on the top pairing on most other teams.... We're very spoiled to have that kind of depth, IMO

Gold medal here we come

My clear cut 2nd favourite team is the Senators due to their run and gun dominating offensive play post lockout, the big 3 were amazing to watch... Sucks that Heatley wants out but I hope they get a good return.... They're declining but I still like them, pumped for Leclaire and as mentioned, the Heatley trade. I'd like to see Jay somehow land there... other teams I like: Washington - Ovechkin, Fedorov, Theodore, Laich, Jerseys Buffalo - Roy, Connolly, Miller Florida - just because, Booth, Horton Philadelphia - Richards, Carter, Biron, Gagne, Giroux Boston - Thomas, Lucic Edmonton - Hemsky, Moreau, logo/colours Wild - Gaborik, Burns, Logo Toronto has been growing on me in recent years teams I dislike: Penguins Ducks Rangers Hurricanes, although they are getting themselves into more neutral territory recently

Sabres lost Briere/Drury/Campbell, still have a lot of talent but couldn't find that consistency and had to deal with injuries to Miller and whatnot.... Sens lost Chara, Redden declined considerably... they had their Emery issues as well. They need a solid puck moving defenseman, more depth, and consistent goaltending. Leclaire should help them greatly next season. Both are moving in the right direction, and I'll probably predict them to be playoff teams next season...
-
But then again, it wasn't very difficult to call this year I do.

At first I was of the opinion that I really didn't want to lose Hudler... but I have to say after reading this thread I feel better (not "good", but better) about potentially losing him.... I would probably remain a fan of his and like the team he goes to more so than I do now as well. If I was a GM I'd give him an offer sheet one dollar under the 1st & 3rd cut off it would be funny
-
I usually pick the teams I want to win.... Didn't work out the greatest this year Nice Work NFM
-
Soured.... Can't explain how much better it would've been to win tonight... in so many ways
-
Totally didn't see this coming.... Very sad news the Sens are my clear-cut 2nd favourite team, and Heatley is a top 5 favourite player bah, I hope they get some mad return No way the Sens are trading him to the Leafs I've seen some fans throw out the idea of Malkin for Heatley ++ ..... Crosby + Heatley would wreak havoc, hello 65 goal Heatley.... long shot of course
-
Finish them handily boys.... none of this chance to tie it in the last minute, come out strong with the foot on the gas and don't let up.... The Pens are no doubt going to be coming out strong, but if the Wings are on their game it won't last long... The Pens will have the thought in the back of their mind all night that if they lose they have to watch Detroit skate around their rink with the Cup for the 2nd straight year... they'll eventually start playing not to lose instead of playing to win... They're too young to help it.... Meanwhile the Wings know that they just need that one win to end the season, they have guys who have been there before and know what it takes... they have the momentum and their Hart candidate back.... Hossa will be playing the game of his life... everyone will step up their game that much further and get the job done... Season ends tonight

I hope he succeeds
