Jonas Hiller is their guy now anyway.... I wouldn't mind us playing the Ducks for the schedule on away games allowing me to watch another 7pm game first and also to be the ones to knock out the Ducks I also wouldn't mind seeing the Ducks play SJ for the matchup reasons so... doesn't really matter
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the NHL makes some kind of provision to close the loophole at the next opportunity. The "he can possibly retire before the end of the deal" loophole that is
-
Ducks play Phoenix, Blues play Colorado
-
Anaheim 5 min away from clinching and then all 8 West playoff teams will be set (but not rankings)
-
Dallas outplaying Anahiem so far, but down 1-0
-
Preds down 3-1.... Blues up 2-0.... Pretty much over for them (the Preds that is)

I agree with some of the posts in this thread... I think it would have been TV only...

or tonight! (they must've updated the story shortly after you posted it [2:18:38 PM PM]

IMO the hit was legal/"clean", but a response to a hit like that on your MVP is also appropriate...
-
The Ducks are in tough... 7th place, 1 up of St. Louis, 2 on Nashville, 3 on Minnesota... but next two games are a home and home with the Sharks... I'm still torn on whether I want to see them miss or be able to cheer against them in round 1
-
I don't think Columbus would be totally lost without Mason, they have a decent set of forwards and play a really solid defensive system I dunno about Vokoun... twice this year he has been relegated to the bench while Craig Anderson took over....
-
Khabibulin: 22-8-6, 2.46 GAA, .916% 1 SO Christobal: 19-15-4, 2.54 GAA, .906% 3 SO Khabibulin has easily been the better and more consistent goalie...

I remain opitmisitc that the team will start playing 100% when the playoffs roll around and guys like Helm and Leino and Rafalski get back in the lineup good luck Osgood
-
Red Wings' Chris Chelios nominated for Masterton award for perseve
T-Ruff replied to Blueliner's topic in General
It's going to Sullivan IMO -
That's what I mean... they are usually terrible but this one is actually decent
-
Probably the best playoff slogan I've heard that I can remember
-
The Wings better find their finish by the time the playoffs roll around.... 1st place in the West seems pretty much out of reach now.... I hope when we get Helm and hopefully Leino in for the playoffs it changes the dynamic of the team.....
-
I think I know who to blame for angering the Hockey Gods to bring no luck to the Wings tonight.... moving on... I think the Wings can still come out 1st in the West
-
Teams that are out of the playoffs are always dangerous, a problem increases because teams take them lightly... (i.e. Isles beat Devils 7-3 recently)..
-
Yeah Detroit played crappy in the first 2 periods... but they were still getting chances.... Luck just isn't on their side tonight, every time it's gone the Islanders way
