Staal is an easy one to leave out I think, Toews could replace Carter on the taxi squad but I don't think he'll be on the initial roster.... I just don't think there's a spot for Chris Pronger amongst the defenseman I listed, especially since he has been on the decline in recent years and its only natural to assume that trend will continue....

Call it a prediction, a feeling/hunch, a logical observation/conclusion...whatever.... but I think its safe to assume given recent trends (OHL rule, these accidents, freak or not, more emphasis on skill, etc), that long-term, we are going to see fighting become a more obscure aspect of the game before it finally bows out all together.... I enjoy fighting in hockey and think its a great and important aspect of this great game, however, I just can't see it lasting any longer than 20-30 years.... It'll be a bit sad/sour for a moment.... But it won't stop me or 99% of you from missing a game, even if you don't know it yet

McGuire is not a Red Wings hater, and its not surprising that he's against the suspensions considering he's one of the best hockey minds/personalities in the game.... This mindless Pierre hate reminds me of that of Gary Bettman's... it has gone way overboard....

I'll also have to say Ribeiro's could easily have been number 1, Datsyuk's classic move is amazing, but it didn't look all as impressive vs Harding as it did vs Turco or Vokoun.... Ribeiro has some slick moves, he almost buried this one vs Anahiem: No doubt that would've cracked the top 3 on TSN's list
