Ansar Khan confirms Datsyuk is out tonight: AnsarKhanMLive Holland said datsyuk out tonight. not serious. he is day to day

It's pretty clear to me that both the most controversial calls (Callahan unsportsmanlike and penalty shot) were 100% legit.

How Are The (former) UFA's That We All Wanted Doing?
T-Ruff replied to LeftWinger's topic in General
He was playing with the actual leading scorer in the league so I doubt it would have been much higher Would have liked to grab Jagr though, hopefully we can make a splash at the deadline -
Favourite part was Tortorella ripping on Gaborik on the bench, and how he called out Boyle on that Leafs goal in front of whole dressing room. Guy's a straight shooter and I love it, always liked him and this series is just going to grow him on me I'm sure.

Wings to host NHL Winter Classic within next 2 years
T-Ruff replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
The best part about this is going to be 24/7.. Assuming they keep it going next year (which seems likely) -
This would be absolutely unreal lol, so much that it seems foolish to even entertain the notion. Get it done! Anyone else been thinking about Alfredsson at the trade deadline this year or next? He has one year left after this one, the Sens won't be contenders anytime soon, there is the Swedish factor of the Wings that he will like and his two-way play and scoring winger capability is something Kenny will like... I'd love to see it happen. Imagine sign Parise and Suter in the offseason and acquire Alfredsson at the deadline haha

I don't like this at all, the problem with playing out West is during the playoffs, not the regular season. I love the late games even, but it will be a huge team benefit to not have to travel outside of the Eastern time zone.
-
Not ideal but if it's the only way the Wings can get to the East, I'm happy to take it... Plus being in a division with Ovechkin and Tampa would be great
-
I personally love the late games that I get to watch, but I know that it's a major advantage especially in the playoffs for the team to not have to travel outside of their timezone. I think a major contribution to the 2008 Cup win and their near flawless play was the fact they never went further than the Central time zone in all 3 rounds (NSH, COL, DAL)

FYI Won't be able to make the draft this year so I'm gonna be stepping aside
-
Agreed, it's why I picked them 8th.. It's a stretch perhaps, but I'll be rooting for it to happen big time, they've been growing on me for the last few years.

They have Giroux and Briere at centre still which is real solid, and JVR had a bit of a coming out in the playoffs, he and Giroux are going to have big years, combined with stability in goal and I think they're going to contend with Pittsburgh for the division crown all season. A top 6 of Giroux, Briere, JVR, Hartnell, Jagr, Voracek isn't bad.. Plus Simmonds and maybe even Brayden Schenn as well

Considering the instinctive reaction to a new Jets logo would be to hate it, they actually did quite well with this. Most comments from fans I've seen, especially of the Jets fans themselves, actually like it a lot. I also give props to True North for being smart enough to use the Jets name but also bold enough to come up with something new to signify the new era. The word logo leaves much to be desired but it will be the least commonly used. The shoulder patch (top right I'm assuming) is real solid and the crest is good. The colour scheme is rather unique with those dark reds and blues and it feels like it will look like an old school type of sweater once it's put on a jersey. Can't wait to see it in action. You can take it to the bank that at some point in the future they'll introduce a 3rd jersey with the old logo though.

They made the right call. Thank you Osgood and welcome back Ty

If the Kings are going to trade Doughty I don't see the Wings being able to put forth a competitive offer.. It'd take something like Stuart/Ericsson, Flip/Hudler, Tatar, a couple firsts, and a lower prospect... A King's ransom ... I'd do it for Doughty but it might even take more than that
-
Both of these guys would come on the cheap and on 1 year deals... I'd do it for sure
-
Speak for your self (Just kidding I know most Canadians share your view of him, but I'm legitimately saddened by this). Hopefully TSN lazes out a bit this year and just decides to pick up Versus' feed more often than not. Best of luck to you Pierre! You're among the best at what you do and don't let anyone ever convince you otherwise

Nothing but an unfortunate play.. Some Canucks fans are saying this is no different than Rome on Horton, which is absolutely laughable. Couldn't believe Gillis this morning on TSN when I saw he was complaining about a no disciplinary action. Also in reference to the above, Rome wasn't suspended just because Horton was injured, he was suspended because he delivered a malicious, illegal check

Mike Murphy is in charge of this series and Shanny steps in for next season

One of the best games I've seen this playoffs. Hopefully Boston keeps this up in game 4. I think they still have a chance considering both games in Vancouver could have gone either way. Timmy has been playing lights out in all 3 games so they can continue to count on him, just gotta find their offense a bit more. They won't win if they don't tie it up in game 4 though. I understand what you mean but letting Horton's harmless water squirting go is far more justifiable than letting Burrows off the hook for biting Bergeron, especially when you consider the NHL's laughable excuse of "There's no conclusive evidence". (And I was cheering for the Lightning of course like most Wings fans) I'd like to take this time to congratulate Rome on scoring the GWG in game 4
-
Complete ******* joke, there is no other way to describe it.. The guy who shouldn't have even played in the game is literally the difference on all three goals.... Vancouver is going to win the Cup i.e. Next season can't come fast enough
-
If Hitch somehow doesn't find a job let him spend a year here It would also be awesome to see Fischer behind the bench though I have no idea if this is simply a pipe dream
-
Good Lord, no to Kaberle... He's not even worth his current contract anymore, previously considered one of the league's best bargains

VAN/BOS: 4-2
