I love Tampa Bay thanks to Stevie but I gotta say I'm glad Boston won, Tampa wouldn't have stood a chance IMO but Boston should be a real challenge for Vancouver. Boston has a tonne of depth up front, a future 2 time winning Vezina goalie, one of the best defenseman in the league. I say Boston in 6 Let's go B's!

At least it seems the bizarre Canucks' fever is over here on LGW And yeah, nice confetti Vancouver, congrats on winning the Stanley Cup Conference
-
FFS what a lucky ass goal Gonna keep thinking back to Marleau's shot at the empty net that he opted to dump in instead because he didn't realize... sigh Boston/Tampa Bay is the last hope
-
I know, not blaming the linesman, that's what I meant by unfortunate
-
Damn, Don points out that it shouldn't have even been an icing either.. Quite unfortunate And how about Marleau having a nap on that dump in when he had a shot at an empty net? Better not come back to bite you
-
Are you kidding me! Vancouver can't win tonight, not like this at home...
-
Way to go Setoguchi, great start to the 3rd!
-
Holy turnovers Batman... Glad the Sharks escaped that fiasco but an icing coming up
-
Well CBC hasn't quite been objective all playoffs with the Canucks... Glenn Healey falsely called out a Pred for embellishing a high stick call, shortly after Vancouver (Luongo and someone) did it twice which he didn't mention
-
I'd take that with a grain of salt

Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons
T-Ruff replied to MacK_Attack's topic in General
Weird, Eklund had a blog earlier today appended with a blurb about a potential surprise retirement, It read "his retirement will have a huge bearing on the UFA and RFA landscape as well as possibly affecting if one of his teammates retires as well", and the first thing I thought was "This sounds like Rafalski.." -
I wasn't referring to anything about TV ratings or San Jose fans in the US.. I just loathe the Canucks more than I can remember loathing any NHL team in the past. That includes Colorado, Nashville (back when they were a threat), Chicago, Pittsburgh, etc. There are a multitude of reasons I hate them including the hypocrisy of Mike Gillis, the whole team acting like they just won the cup after game 7 in round 1 including Luongo: "This feels better than the gold medal game", the ridiculous notion in Canada that they be adopted as "Canada's team", the over-the-top bias of CBC announcers (Glenn Healey's idiocy specifically), and Vancouver fans' overall sense of entitlement going back to last season. Overall the antics and attitude of the Canucks baffles me as to why anyone besides primary Canucks fans would be cheering for them. I'd much rather see Joe Thornton, Pavelski, Heatley, Couture, etc play for the Cup so it sucks that it's not going to happen, I just hope Boston or Tampa Bay can beat them. If Vancouver goes on to win it will make 3 straight years that the worst possible team won the Cup lol/:(

Well lets hope San Jose can pull off a comeback... Vancouver in the Final would just be the worst

Which conference would you rather have the Wings in?
T-Ruff replied to weGotTheCup89's topic in General
The travel difference in the Eastern conference playoffs would help immensely IMO. Other bonusesinclude more games against original 6 teams and teams like Pittsburgh, Washington, Tampa, Philly, etc. I'd miss late night games and games against Chicago, St. Louis, Vancouver, and some other Western teams but overall I think it's definitely in the Wings' best interests to be in the East. -
I've never loathed a team more than the 2011 Canucks.. Been cheering against them from the first series (yes even for Chicago). The sooner they can lose the better... Sharks Tampa Final FTW

VAN/SJS: 4-2 BOS/TBL: 4-3

Vancouver broadcasts on CBC are insufferably biased... Get this team off TV as soon as possible, one game at a time Preds.

VAN/NSH: 4-2 SJS/DET: 4-2 WAS/TBL: 4-2 PHI/BOS: 4-3

My condolences, Duck Guy, we've all been in your position and it's not fun. I hope to see Teemu back and I think the chances are good considering how he's played. (I said after the game to a friend "He probably wants to retire but knows he can't because he's still too good" lol) Very pleased with the result, Nashville overcame the adversity of that befuddling no-goal call on Hornqvist and overall in the series were able to generate more offense than was expected of their lineup. Loved Trotz's post game presser. Congrats to the Preds! Extremely well deserved by the organization, the players, and especially the fans.
-
Whoooo Preds! Huge win especially after coming so close to losing.. First ever chance to close out a series at home, you gotta believe they are gonna get it done.
-
Good for the NHL, I was expecting just 1. Pretty big loss for the Ducks.
-
I expect the Preds to take both games at home, and then game 5 will go to OT where hopefully the Preds finish them off
-
I was quite pleased to hear the chant on TV, Bert has always been one of my favourites, going back to the Vancouver days with the Morrison-Naslund line
