I was watching on versus (cbc feed) and i guess they didn't show that shot you're talking about, would love to see it though.
-
I already posted in the other thread, but is there a video of the hit for me to examine more closely because i thought Dan got that elbow up from the few replays last night. But what i'm really trying to say here is, if the refs were favouring Calgary so much they would have definitely made that call, thats all.
-
I don't know.... is there a video somewhere on the net that i can closely examine because from the couple of replays that they showed last night it sure looked like Danny got that elbow up. Just trying to keep the homer glasses off and look at things with a fair open mind.
-
Also, i don't think the officiateing was that bad. Yes they let some things go, but overall i don't think Calgary was heavily favoured. They did let Dan's elbow on Phaneuf go which also led to a goal remember? You want to see bad officiating? watch this:
-
All i saw during last nights game from the red wings players was pucks bouncing off their sticks, bad passes, no good breakout passes, people not anticipating passes to get a quick shot off (LANG mostly), overskating the puck, getting handcuffed by the bad passes and not getting the bounces to go their way. They looked like half the team they're supposed to be. Granted Calgary looked much better, but if thats the best Calgary can do then Detroit only needs a few bounces to go their way and things will be fine. I don't know if its the ice or the jet lag or the atmosphere but lets hope they can settle down and play THEIR game again on thursday. This was not the Detroit Red Wings that we know out there last night.

Haha, i feel you man. 2 more hours to waste at work (can't nap because i'm nervious so i keep checking this and other sites) Sure hope the Wings win and put the Flames in a chokehold. Hopefully Zetter will break out for 2 goals tonight with one great individual play and great setup from Pavel on the other.
-
Another great game from him, was a little scary when he got clipped by phaneuf though, he looked a little disoriented i hope he's ok.
-
Linda Cohn has Wings in 5, ahahaha. Well, actually, i'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with her there. If Bert and Zetter play and are healthy and Hasek does his job its over for the Flames. source: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs2007...tory?id=2832223

If Zetterberg didn't get hurt and stayed on the tear he was on he would be the league mvp not just the wings, but wince he did i'll give it to Lidstrom with Datsyuk as a close second.
-
Watching that video was equivalent to getting punched in the face. JUST TWO MORE DAYS, TWO MORE DAYS. that's hillarios by the way
-
Pretty sure that Zetter won't be there for game 1, judging by the uncertainty and last years example with Datsyuk.
-
Well yeah, thats not saying much right now, but when Zubrus first got traded i immediately thought that Ovechkin won't be able to get to 50 this year. /pats myself on the back
-
losing Zubrus didn't help too much this year, i doubt he'll get to 50.
-
I just don't understand people that think datsyuk is small and weak. He's 5-11, not 5-7 for christ sakes. And have you actually watched him play this season? Didn't he get the check of the game that time against Nashville i think? He can take the physicall play. I wish all this bs talk would stop untill the end of the playoffs.
-
No real motivation, no passion. It doesn't look like he cares about winning the Stanley Cup. He looks like hes playing out his final years to go away quietly and enjoy his life with his family. Prove me wrong Robert!
-
I've always liked him. He's very entertaining, brings a lot of grit, excellent agitator and is actually a pretty skilled hockey player. And now he looks like he has matured. Yes i'd take him over Maltby any day.
-
I say Cleary. I know he just came back but still he's been kind of invisible ever since his hot streak ended back in December or something. Maltby is a playoff veteran and he gets under opposing players skin better than anyone else on our team besides maybe Chelios and Markov so i would keep him in the lineup. It's most likely going to be one of the rookies though.
-
Don't worry he'll get the credit he deserves next year in terms of millions of dollars (like 6.5 or 7 of them), i just hope the name on the bottom of the cheque spells Mike Ilitch and not Ted Leonsis
-
Hudler or Filpula will be sitting, depending on who has the hot hand going into the playoffs. As much as i wish for the opposite, Samuelson will be in the line-up and Cleary is pretty much a regular.
-
Aside from Lidstrom being injured this is the worst person to be injured for the Wings in the playoffs. My optimism for a good showing in the playoffs this year is begining to dwindle. I just hope that Datsyuk and Bertuzzi start clicking well together very soon and the SECOND LINE PICKS UP THEIR PLAY AGAIN!!!
-
You wish... $219 is my guess.
-
Stall plays 5 minutes less than Malkin and sees no power play time, also Stall is a +17 and Malkin was a minus most of the year so an argument CAN be made for Staal. (Plus he's Canadian which always helps)
-
Of course its all Doms fault, everyone knows that he's only going to have 1 goal to work with to win games for us come playoff time
-
Oh man i'm so jealous of the designer guy, he got to play 1-on-1 against Lidstrom at the Joe.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nhl/features/ru...atures%2frumors There's something there about Datsyuk Bertuzzi and Zetterberg under thursday martch 15, i'm wondering if somebody who has access can summarize for us, or better yet take a screenshot.
