Yeah, i don't know if many people noticed, but its pretty much Datsyuk who's carrrying the offense right now. Sammy was just lucky to be on the receiving end for the game winning goal tonight but did you guys seriosly think that he was great tonight, i didn't?

How the hell is Samuelson the #1 star? I mean, i know he was lucky to be on the receiving end for the GWG, but please... he's -2 on the night and didn't do anything the whole game and as soon as i saw his trademark blue line wrister i immediately thought to myself "oh how i DIDN'T miss you Sammy"... bleh Franzen better not be injured is all i want from this game.

One time i fell on the ice and jammed my thumb on it (inside the glove mind you), felt a lot of pain. When i took off the glove, my thumb was broken.... they had to put a pin in it. So the slash doesn't have to be "that bad" to break a finger. Since nobody even notied the slash, then it probably wasn't "that bad"

I'm sure my opinion on this is extremely unpopular but I am actually against the whole number retiring thing. Put the name up there, but why take away the number. Look at the Canadiens, they have all the good numbers retired, now they have 73's and 79's and 57's..... those aren't "hockey" numbers

You're right, his awesome moves are sometimes more entertaining than goals. I too wish that someone made a video of just that. In his earlier years nobody would pay attention to him and they didn't know to play the body against him so he did it like 2-3 times a game. Now, since everyone is aware of what and who he is, it is much harder for him to pull of those moves so they became rare, maybe once in 2 games.

It sucks that we have to play nashville 3 times in the next two weeks. I would really love to see how we stack up against them in full force (including Bertuzzi). I'm really staring to dislike them and consider them our main rivals. As much as i hate the current schedule and seeing chicago and st. louis all the time it did do the job of creating a great rivalry, at least in my opinion. I was really looking forward to seeing him show up in the top-5 in goals stats on espn.com

He does, but only the last 10 minutes of the game when they're losing or the score is tied. I agree though, he should just put them together on one line for the entire game and see how it goes. Maybe he has a problem because both of them are left wings? Or maybe he doesn't trust an all-russian line out there, those damn commies

I wish i was "cursed" like that every year. He is going through a slump though, thats 4 games without a point (longest of his career?) and only 3 points in the last 10 games. I'm going to DC on saturday and will be at the game on sunday vs the Devils, hopefully he can break out of the slump by then and put on a show.

Easy there, I'm pretty sure that Holmstrom has got a better slapshot than 99% of the people on this forum with any stick you give him. Don't you remember THIS GOAL against St. Louis earlier this season? And for those who think Homer's got stone hands and can only score on deflections, of why you're wrong.

I was at that game and yeah, he would just stand there and make them sweep around him. I wouldn't be able to just stand there and not talk to them, but i guess he's a professional and has to focus on his job.

Youre kidding right? NFL, MLB...... even if, say, 5% of those sports fans were females (which is way too low) to, say, 20% (which is pushing it) in the NHL, the first two would slaughter the NHL in numbers.
