More weight only hurts your performance most of the time. If he puts on that much weight, even if its all muscle, he will become mucn much slower. Remember when Datsyuk and Zetterberg were made to bulk up in the offseason a couple of years ago? Remember how much slower they got? Ericsson is starting to look tired as it is out there. He looked tired towards the end of the Anaheim series and yesterday he showed it to everyone.

I think its true that Cleary hasn't had a very good two games against Anaheim. Too often he couldn't control the pass, didn't get to a loose puck (but that goes for the entire team), got knocked around way too much. No reason to discount him yet though. He's working hard and I'm sure he'll get his rhythm back. Besides, I trust Backbock to make the right decision anyway. The player that frustrated me the most is Filpula. The guy makes a great move to create a chance but NEVER finishes, whether its a nice pass or at least some kind of a shot. He just takes it all the way around the net or goes into the corner. It almost seems like hes afraid to get hit out there.

He's been talking a little more lately, probably has more to do with his English getting better. The problem is, even if he tried to trash talk, i bet nobody would understand what he was saying anyway. He's humble, but he's been getting more loose lately. A couple of years ago he didn't even celebrate his goals, but now he's pumping fists and everything

A few years ago, maybe 2003? There was a series on ESPN called "The Season" In one of the installments they followed the Detroit Red Wings. You guys should watch it if you can ever find it. The way the Wings gave it to Forsberg was unbelievable, I almost felt sorry for the guy. "Say Hi to Kelly" "Kelly is a great gal" ??? You guys are taking offense to that? That almost sounds like a complement. Every team talks trash, and nothing is off limits, its a part of the game. Oh how I'm sick of this political correctness...

Hilarious, Kovalev did a double take, and completely forgot about to scrum and tried to get his stick back. I was watching this yesterday but didn't notice that a fan was actually trying to pull the stick from him, I though that he just lodged the stick in there and then was trying to get it out.

Of course there is no rule like this. There is also no rule against accidentally bumping the goalie or spraying the goalie with snow or jamming your stick into the goalie wherever you think the puck is before the whistle blows. No, there is no rule against this, but you can be sure that the goalie's teammates won't like it and will mug the guy trying to this.

You guys bashing Crosby are really out of your mind. Take the blinders off for once and respect a hockey player (don't look at the name) for doing the right thing. I hate Crosby as much as anyone else, but when credit is due, I'll give it. He definitely deserves lots of credit for sticking up for his teammate like that. Doesn't matter if the hit was clean. You have to make the opposition think twice before hitting a star player. Why do think nobody ever hit Gretzky? Because Semenko would beat the s*** out of you if you did, legal or illegal hit, it didn't matter. Crosby wasn't supposed to be the one fighting Ballard, of course, but since nobody else did, he took it upon himself. And trust me, after this incident, he won't have to take it upon himself ever again. This is called leading by example and is exactly what a captain supposed to do. Also, please don't bash Crosby's fighting skills. He's not a fighter by any stretch of the imagination, but he's probably better than all but one of our red wings at it. Lastly, we all know that if Datsyuk got hit in a similar fashion and Zetterberg stepped in and fought whoever hit him, you'd all be wetting you pants and putting Zetterberg up there with god and yelling "THIS IS WHY HE'S THE NEXT CAPTAIN" Stay objective my friends...
