Brendan Morrison, Gary Roberts and Miroslav Satan all waived

Voros is tough, can score (that's a stretch, but yes he can) and can fight? Something we need, no? -
Maybe we should go after Voros?

Were you one of the 3 or 4 guys with painted faces they showed on tv? One of them looked like the joker.

I went to a Devils game a couple of weeks ago when they played the Kings and some guy got up to go somewhere DURING A PENALTY SHOT in the second period. He was right in front of me when O'Sullivan started skating on goal, I told him "Man, Its a penalty shot!" he just looked at me with a dumb look on his face, I swear I almost pushed him out of the way... I guess "when you gotta go, you gotta go" but seriously, he couldn't wait 20 seconds?

I brought this up before, saying that if you want to go by stats, he is as good as Datsyuk but I was quickly shot down with the whole homerish "Parise has more ice time and PP time" argument. I live in NJ and see the Devils a lot on TV and live, and I have to say that he is the hardest working player in the league from what I've seen. Yes, he works harder than Datsyuk, or at least he makes it seem so. He brings it every single night and every single shift. He is probably less talented than Datsyuk in certain aspects of the game (but then again you can say that about anybody), but his hard work certainly makes up for it. On a related note, with Brodeur back and looking better than ever I think the Devils are serious contenders for the Stanley cup this year. If they land a high profile defenseman who can man their power play at the deadline (Kaberle or something) then you won't see any holes in their lineup all the way down.

When I first got CI online this year it was so bad, it was practically unwatchable. Whenever there were more than 3 games on, they didn't push through enough bandwidth and i had to turn it all the way down to 300kbps (low, really crappy quality) to be able to watch, and still got the occasional "Buffering" bs. And no, its not my connection nor my computer, both of which are excellent. I also can't get my local market teams (obviously) AND the Flyers (even though they're not in my local market), so there's absolutely no way for me watch the Flyers, aside from the illegal online streams. I tried canceling the subscription a month into the season because it was so crappy, but they wouldn't let me cancel. Apparently they had a 5 DAY Cancellation policy or something ridiculous like that. No matter what I said and how much I complained they wouldn't do it. So all this time I had CI Online and wasn't even using it. I was still using the online streams to watch the games, imagine that. Lately, however, about 2 weeks running, they seem to have fixed their bandwidth problems and CI Online has been working pretty good and at the highest quality (1200kbps) with only a few occasional "buffers", not every damn minute like it used to be. They better keep this up, because if it goes back to how it was and there's no more atdhe.net I'm gonna be really pissed.

Most russian nick names are feminine sounding (to the english speaking populous anyway) For example: Mikhail = Misha, Alexander = Sasha, Vyacheslav = Slava, Victor = Vitya, Vladimir = Vova, etc...

Remember when the Senators were pretty much the highest scoring team in the NHL a few years ago. Now they are the lowest scoring team... They still have the same core players, so how could this happen? It seems that after that SC Final something broke for them and they haven't been able to recover. Who did they lose? Don't tell me Ray Emery

This makes all 4 teams who have opened the season in Europe have fired their coaches this season. I'm a little uncomfortable now with the fact that we're opening in Europe next season.

Good presence of mind there Kopy!

Holy crap, I didn't know that Johnny Oduya was Swedish! And I'm supposed to be somewhat of a Devils fan, shows how much I know... Looks like a solid lineup, Doug Murray should definitely be considered.

New Jersey will make a strong push for him. I think he's the last piece of the puzzle for the devils to reach the cup finals this year. He would provide major help on the power play making the devils that much better.

I was gonna say the same thing. I don't really hear much about Malkin. Like Shoreline said, its all business. Datsyuk and Malkin don't speak english well enough to be promoted too much.
-
He is always under the radar, just like Marc Savard. If you're gonna talk numbers then Zach Parise plays even less than Datsyuk and is only 5 points behind him for #5 spot in the league and has more goals than anyone but Ovechkin. Personally I think Ovechkin will win it because the argument will be that Malkin has Crosby and Datsyuk has Zetterberg, but Ovechkin is doing it by himself and is therefore more valuable to his team. This is bs, of course, because Ovechkin has Semin and it really doesn't matter to Malkin if Crosby is in the lineup or not, he's sill their best player.

Best forward since December, so far. Lets be modest, Pavel always is.

Did I just witness Datsyuk NOT pass and take it to the empy net himself? There's a first time for everything, huh? Although I guess it was the smart move as Hank wasn't completely in the clear there and could have been stripped as soon as he got it.
-
But we already got to 4, so we should be alright.

That's Rafalski for you... Looked more like me in my beer league when a AAA player walks around me in a similar fashion
-
Come on... take the blinders off. He is my favorite player of all time, but I'm not gonna make such a claim.
-
Heh, Datsyuk should have like 5 points by now....
-
Danil Markov, I know he's been mentioned already, but I have to repeat because I really wish he was a still a Wing.

I really wanted to make the drive and go, but it was sold out before I could scratch myself and log onto ticketmaster... And I'm not really in the position to buy overpriced tickets from scalpers right now.

I believe in 2002 in Salt Lake City the tournament was played on NHL-sized rinks and it seemed to have helped both the US and Canada tremendously. So I guess whoever said the US could be in the running has a valid point.

What do you get?

Oh well, good for the Jackets, exciting game for their fans, their best player with a monster game!
