I say give the trophy to Zetterberg. Unless either Datsyuk or Osgood win the next game single handedly, Zetterberg deserves it more than anybody else, especially after tonights defensive performance.

He just didn't look right to me after that "goalie interference" on Datsyuk's goal in game 4. Looks like hes out of sync. That two on one when he just fell because he didn't seem to know what to do, some other plays where he hurried the puck and gave it away where there really was no need to. I'm not looking at his point total, just at his play in general. He's doing his job on the power play, but besides that, he hasn't looked right to me.

Holmstrom MUST step up and start making good plays out there. Filpula and Cleary have to come up with some goals to at least match the Penguins' secondary scoring.

If Alex Ovechkin threw that same hit, which he usually does, they wouldn't even call it a penalty and the hit would be on every highlight real for the night as another great, clean hit by AO. It is still possible for Chicago to make it if they win out and Vancouver picks up no more than 2 and Nashville no more than 1 point in their last 2 games. Of course Chicago has to beat Detroit twice to do this...

Interesting scenario: Chicago win tonight, Nashville and Vancouver lose tomorrow, then Chicago and Nashville beat the crap out of each other on Friday for the last playoff spot with Chicago winning. Sunday: Detroit can chose who their first round opponent is (Preds or Hawks) by either winning or losing to Chicago

Come on, he obviously has the Hart locked up at this point. Who can challenge him? Iginla maybe, that's about it. No way they would give it to Malkin because he has a teammate named Crosby. Although i think Malkin deserves it just as much as Ovechkin, just look at what he did in Crosby's absence. Of course the NHL can always surprise us and give it to Niedermayer. They'll probably give him the Masterson too

I did. If you remember, at the beginning of the season our first line was Datsyuk-Holmstrom-Franzen. And they were tearing it up in the preseason too. In the second game of the season Franzen went down with a knee injury and then missed all of October. After that, the lines kind of developed new chemistry by the time he returned he was an odd man out. It took him a while to get into that first line shape again. I was fully expecting him to put up 25 goals, he was just unfortunate to start the season the way he did. Oh well, as long as he brings it in the playoffs, it doesn't really matter right?

I wanted this guy here at the deadline more than anyone else. Canadian, proven playoff performer, exactly what we need. Also, he's wearing #91 now It would be very ironic if we got a #91, but not the one everyone was expecting.
