UHL games exciting??? Wrong The griffs drew close to 12,000 fans but they also had Josh Gracin from American Idol fame performing between periods so that obviously helped.With High School hockey in the state done that helps too.

Superstar? Hell no. If we're lucky, he'll pan out as a decent second liner or a good third liner with some offensive pop. I agree that he's sort of physical and that he has skills. But he's nowhere near superstar material Not now he's not. No one expects him to be a superstar less then a year after he's drafted. We'll see where he's at in 3 years.He'll most likely still need a year in the minors. The best thing for him to do is work on his skills and get stronger.

Haskins has to be signed this summer and they said unless he puts on significant weight they may just let him go.

Liv won't cost alot to sign. They have to sign McGrath also.

Liv has played very well this season. Last year he was hung out to dry the whole season because the SEL was loaded with NHL talent and the team he played for didn't bring much if at all any NHL talent to help out.I think the Wings will bring him over and let him back up Manny, if not atleast put him with the Griffins.The Wings can figure out what to do with McDonald down the road.He's the one they should move. Hell I wouldn't be opposed to letting Legace and Osgood walk after the season.Manny will want a pay raise and Osgood just needs to leave Detroit. I think Howard will be the Griffs #1 Goalie come playoff time.

This how I'd like to see Detroit's situation pan out in the next couple seasons: 2006-07: Resign Legace for another season, sign Liv to backup Legace 2007-08: Bring up Howard to battle Liv for #1 duty Howard can only benefit from another year in Grand Rapids and Liv has experience playing in the SEL. Just my opinion.

Hudler plays LW in Grand Rapids...so does Flippula. Check the Griffins boxscores. Funny how everyone wants to deal Hudler away when most people here have probably only seen him in a wings jersey. The dude is good and most likely will be in Detroit next season.

Wings won't make any significant trades because they don't have the cap space. Hudler, Datsyk,Zetterberg, Maltby,Chelios,Williams,Yzerman and every other major part of this team aren't going anywhere. Save the lopsided trades for NHL 06 because they aren't happening in reality.

Westrum is a free agent after the season and I read somewhere they want him back.

I think Liv will leapfrog Howard and be the backup in Detroit next season.

We have enough young goalies. The rangers would be wise to dump Weekes and bring Al up to back up Lundqvist

Lidstrom will pull in around 8 or 9 mil a season also. If there was no cap then maybe some of these trades would be a little more realistic. I think Jokinen will end up in Ottawa anyway.

Jokinen wouldn't get the ice time in Detroit that he gets in Florida. I'll stick with what we got.

First of all...it's not gonna happen. Second, they would have to spend probably close to 12 mil a season for those 2 players. I don't se Detroit making pitches for any big name players until the offseason. Hope all you want.

Wings have to sign him this summer so I think he'll be in Grand Rapids unless he's able to go back as an overage player. He needs to add some strength so a year or 2 in GR would be awesome.
