Homer definitely struggled in the playoffs this year. However, he did still have some nice screens on some goals. I feel like he was never quite 100% after coming back from his latest surgery this season. Perhaps the time off will help for next year.

Don't be so sure... I remember hearing the same thing last year. UFA's leaving was supposed to hobble them for this year.

I had come to accept that "it wasn't gonna happen" about 1/2 way through the game. I had a very bad dream about this game two nights ago, and it came true in spades. Had a couple of days to adjust to the thought. However, my 10 year old son took it pretty hard. It also helped me too when I "talked him off the ledge". He took a hot shower before bed, and was fine afterwards.

Ditto... If our offense hadn't taken a dirt nap in the last two games, it would be a moot point. We lost, they won. End of story.

Yep... They out hustled us and got the breaks they needed. I had a very bad and vivid dream about night's game two nights ago, and it came to fruition. We were the fist winners to make it past the 1st round the next year for some time, you still gotta give the Wings their due. Thanks guys... you can't win it every year!

The ECHL BoG has officially accepted the Kalamazoo Wings membership application to their league... presser at 1 PM in Kalamazoo tomorrow. I browsed the ECHL web site and it looks like the Red Wings don't have an ECHL affiliate lines up as of yet. Anyone think that the Wings would find an advantage of having an ECHL team right near their AHL team???

The "Toledo Walleye" are returning to the ECHL and have a presence on the ECHL website, but their affiliation is still listed as "TBD" just like the K-Wings.

Agreed... What they do is pre-make the hats in a neutral color and then quickly hot glue on a small patch of the actual winning team.

I agree it ain't over till it's over, but I think "scared" is too strong of a term... I'd say that we need to give them the respect they are due as far as their playing ability. A cornered animal can be dangerous. But you're right... now's not the time to be talking about the parade route!

"D" doesn't do much to win a hockey game without the "O"... I'd be tempted to let the Game 5 lines stand.

Short of Hank putting in an OT game winner in 6 or 7... to me it's a "tie", but I'd give it to Ozzie.

Your best bet may be the year-end "garage sale" at JLA. RBK usually rolls out a new style each year and the team will often clearance the old ones at the sale they'll have later this month. Two years ago I picked up some CCM practice pants for $10 at the sale.

Tuesday night I, and a couple of Wings fan co-workers, have to attend a "murder mystery dinner" as part of a evening activity of a week-long business meeting. I'm not a fan of such dinners to begin with, and needless to say I'm not really looking forward to this one!
