They showed them on TV. They judges were moved to platorms over the top of the entrances to the seating areas. Their view of the goals is roughly the same as people standing in the SRO areas. The didn't look too happy on TV, and I wouldn't either after going from the best seat in the house to that! As for the programs, the Wings don't publish programs for pre-season. But if you go by one of the JLA info booths, they'll give you a line-up sheet for free (at least they did last year). I'll be there tonight... Sec 115, row 1 on the aisle. My son and I got singles real cheap off of StubHub and we'll be swapping seats during the game. Our other ticket is Sec 121 Row 7, behind the bench. Look for the guy in the game worn Homer jersey!

Here are the exact quotes I found: http://www.gameworn.net/cgi-bin/GW/ultimat...ic;f=1;t=017219

Be forewarned, people that have seen the "premier" EDGE jerseys from other teams have reported that they quality on these shirts is WAY down from the past. They don't look and feel well made and some of the jerseys that should have shoulder patches have iron-on decals or silkscreened images instead!!!
-
I like Ozzie... but I think Homer should have made the list. Tomas had 1 goal and 3 assists (though did you see the NHL gave goal #5 to Koopmans!)

The Wings in recent years have used block lettering on their pre-season jerseys. Those aren't the 2007-2008 "Set 1" jerseys they are wearing. They use block lettering in the pre-season because the lettering isn't attached directly to the jerseys... they are on name plates that are then sown onto the jersey. Come opening day you can be assured the regular arched lettering will be in place. Overall I thought the new jerseys looked pretty good... but those "dress shirt tails" bug me.

So why is there no connection between the video and audio? It looks like the video is the arena feed and the audio sounds like the Wild radio network.

I normally park in the JLA garage for $15, but I'm thinking of trying the roof to save some cash. How to you get to it from the Lodge coming in from I-94, and what's the best way to get back to I-94 after the game?
-
Yeah, that would bite!

I'd stay put... Those aren't bad. At least you're relatively down low. I think the pre-sale tickets they offered me were in 211B. In the General sale I got 210 a couple of rows lower for the same two games I bought.

Let's just say that the people that run the whole internet operation for Olympia Entertainment don't seem to be the sharpest knives in the drawer! It would appear that their process for maintaining their e-mail distribution list is a little out of whack. For that matter, the Red Wings general e-mailing list is kinda whacky... often times he gets e-mails I don't get and vice versa. And for the record, my friend didn't use the "pre-sale" code either.
-
Yep, I learned my lesson about that last year and decided not to waste $40 again! I was ticked when I saw the same thing with the pre-sale for the 2006-07 preseason games. I also have a confession to make... A co-worker of mine also let his RWW membership expire at the same time as I did, but RWW keeps sending him the pre-sale code e-mails! He gave me the code for this week's pre-sale. However, I didn't buy any tickets with it! But I did look and, like you, only found so-so tickets in the corners were available. I quickly released them and waited for the general sale and got better tickets.
-
Part of the problem is that they appear to have exhausted the season ticket waiting list with seats still unsold. Therefore the pool released for single games was probably larger than in the past. But I agree that an opening day WCF re-match seems like it would be a pretty attractive ticket! The good news is that I was able to get decent seats for the Sharks game in Oct and the Caps game in December instead of being stuck high in the corners or ends!

Dallas home jerseys.... Ugh!!!

Only for a "name" player (Dats, Hank, etc.) I'm using a Vapor XXX Williams stick that I got for $100 from HA. Before that I used a Warrior Dolomite that I got for $45 that was Paul MacLean's. My son got a Jimmy Howard unused RBK 6K graphite stick for $40 at the equipment sale. However, I've found that the selection is usually better at the JLA store intead of at the Troy location. You can also call them at JLA and request that they hold a stick for you at the store if you're going to a certain game there.
-
You'd be a lot better off with SRO tickets. Because those tickets will also be SRO (you have to stand to see the ice), but at the top end of the upper bowl.
-
That's about the price our local shop has them for too.
-
Yep, rarely do they hold a big press conference to announce that someone is not retiring.
-
I don't agree with the suit, but legally such "hold harmless" statements printed on the backs of tickets are meaningless. Their only purpose is to give the defense something to point to in the trial if sued in the hopes that the jury will side with them. But in the end, the courts have consistently ruled that printing such things on tickets doesn't give the promoter permission to be negligent.

The answer is "Freakin' Awesome". Here's a couple photos from Row 3 from last year's March 6th game against the Pred: Here's the view from when Tomas Vokoun sat on a puck that was more than likely over the goal line and then butt-scootched forward with it before getting up:
-
I don't have a problem with it... Especially since the goal judge's decision is merely an opinion as to whether the puck went in. The on-ice officials are free to ignore the red light, and of course NHL HQ has the ultimate say with questionable goals. To me, the primary job of a goal judge is to let the folks in the top section of the other end of the arena know when to cheer for the home team!

I agree that the wording on the front "kills" the jersey. Also, I really don't like the "shirt tail out" look of the new style. I keep wanting to shout out "Tuck that thing in!" very time I see somebody wearing one. I also stole this from another site on the topic:
-
Well someone please tell the guy in charge of our official web site that the team's primary color it NOT dark pink!

Or: "14. Sonny at the tollbooth."
