"You know Holmstrom liked knocking a Finn to the ice!!!"
-
Hmmmm... I seem to remember a game with a team wearing similar jerseys last season that sorta went like that at The Joe!
-
Memo to DSR: It's not Gaylord Entertainment Center anymore! Update: Wow, they just changed it!
-
Gee, I wonder where he got the photo for that from???
-
Sorry about that... I thought you were saying it would be a good one to be in the stands for!
-
It would be a good game for the Red Wings to finally show up for too!!!

Here was my view of the last game against Nashville (it was worth every last cent of the $85 I paid):

Thoughts on Bertuzzi after first game as a Wing?
Gizmo replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
I'd say "good first outing". -
Don't blame Sammy... The Wings' offense has scored a grand total of three goals in the last 9+ periods (all by the same person, at that)! I'm tired of us playing like crap against suck teams. We're now .500 on the season vs. freaking Columbus!!!!!!!!
-
Hmmm... Me thinks that in NYC a "tranny" isn't an automotive term!
-
Agreed. It wasn't Dom's fault that the offense only scored two goals west of the Mississippi in the last week.
-
I understand that... My question was why didn't they bother to check the video when the play stopped? Was everyone on the ice (well, the officials and the Blues, anyway) clueless to the possibility that it might have gone in?
-
That's what I get for skimming threads... but to my second question, why didn't they review it at the stoppage like they did in Phx?
-
So why did they award Hank that goal last month (hat trick game) when they reviewed it a couple of minutes later??? Why wouldn't they review the play at the stoppage of play in the case of the Blues?

I see this was from 2003, but I searched and didn't see it here... Great short film: Clark, The Canadian Hockey Goalie

If you're talking about a star player like Lids, Pavel, etc., yeah the prices can be steep. But if you want equipment from one of the less popular players, the prices can be pretty good. For example, at the Joe I bought a Jason Williams Bauer XXX stick a couple of days before he was traded in great shape for $100. Try finding that price elsewhere. It works great for me in drop-in!

Last season the Wings had two such "garage sales", so far this year they haven't had any. However, about a month ago Paul Boyer sent a large stock of surplus unused stick to the Troy store for $120 a piece. I'd also expect a big sale at the Joe sometime in June (like last year). They usually give about 24 hours notice. I haven't been to one, but I've seen a lot of the stock on eBay afterwards. Expect game used sticks, pants, helmets, skates, etc. Jerseys will be one sale for the same price that you can buy them at the HTA store in JLA, but except a sale (like 1/2 off) of 2+ year old jerseys.

"2nd Round, Or Bust" "Pavel... Just Shoot The Puck!" Actually, I have a confession to make... The loss to the Oilers last year was all my fault. I resisted buying one of the 2006 RW Playoff T-shirts, but gave in after they won Game 1. Sure enough, it jinxed 'em. I won't make that mistake again this year!!!

Agreed... Other than providing an entertaining sideshow at time out there last night, Tootles was a "non-issue". I loved it every time they showed him on the bench after a shift and he had this look on his face like "Hey, they're picking on me out there!!!!!" Priceless.

The concept is also a myth: Snopes

By my count, the Calder Express now stands at -24 after tonight!!!

I kinda like "Phil" as a suggestion.

I'll give you Exhibit A: Tootoo tries to switch teams. I dunno about you, but I thought that was way too funny! Ding, ding, ding!!! Give that man a cigar!!!

Before that, he was the predecessor of Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney found out after the fact that in the contract with his distributor he'd signed all of the rights away to Oswald. He then moved out west in a funk and started doodling sketches of this mouse... and "the rest is history."
