Why the shots against? Turnovers, disjointed play, taking another weaker team for granted...

Wow, wow, wow... Dom for President!!!!

Me too... but I fear it's been one of those games were we skate circles around the other guys and outshoot them 2-1, but struggle with the one stat that matters.
-
It's going to be "One of those games"... I can feel it already.

YYYEEEESSSSS!!!! My man Homer's staying! I can buy that Homer jersey to wear to the Joe now and not have to worry about "jinxing" the deal.
-
I seem to recall reading he got a "blue collar hat trick": 2 goals, 2 assist, and 2 chipped teeth against Calgary.
-
They blew the horn!!!! Hee, hee!

No! No! Nic, please wait until Sunday when I'll be at the Joe!!!

I'd pass on the pond scum....

FYI, last year they did a "24 hours of Hockey" at Lawson. There was a WMU game, KOHA games, and the rest of the time (including all night) was filled with a continious drop-in game. It's sounding like that's going to be the case this year too.

I'm 1/2 way through the book... Three words: BUY THIS BOOK!!!!! Even though it's written by a Denver paper staffer, he doesn't spin the Aves. Though the author speaks favorably about Pepe, Patricia, and others when talking about their upbringing and off-ice charity work, when it comes to the their pre-game and on-ice antics with the Red Wings they are shown in a manner that's less than flattering. BTW, the book's forward was written by Scotty Bowman (who became a friend of the author) if that tells you anything. The essence of the book is similar to the ending of the 70's WWII flick "Tora, Tora, Tora!!!" When the Japanese admiral comments that, after Pearl Harbor, he's afraid they've "Awoken a sleeping giant..." In the book though, neither the Aves, their coaches, or the Denver media realized it until it was too late. I don't think too many Aves fans will be reading this work.

FWIW, I have two sons now playing youth hockey. Both write right handed, both bat and throw right handed... but in hockey they're split. The older one shoots right and his younger brother shoots left. The youngest one is now in a "beginning hockey" and I counted last weekend and of the 16 kids on his team, only three were lefties.

Since I shoot right, for me this personally sucks. I've found that you can get some great deals buying game used stuff from the Joe to use yourself. I have a great pair of pro CCM gloves that were used in prospect camp for $50 with little wear on them. The stick I'm using now is a Warrior Dolomite that was Paul MacLean's that I bought for $45. I shoot right, and my only options now are: Chelios (Too expensive to use), Lang (no real cost savings over new), and Maltby, and Williams.
