My favorite was the robot that hit the other turned into a giant metal puck, became a vacuum cleaner and sucked it up!

I didn't much care for the glowing puck, but man those cartoon robots that showed up whenever a goal was scored were COOL!

I'm kind of on the fence about the whole being nice issue? Is it really Calgary fans being nice to us because the Wings have been dominant in the 1st two? Or is it simply because they are respectful, and that's all there is to it? I seem to remember last year we had a lot of Edmonton fans on the boards as the Wings were getting throttled, and A LOT of them we still VERY classy... ( unfortunately trolls will also rear their nasty little heads when they feel the time is right....)

Welcome to the boards, I for one am not taking Calgary lightly AT ALL! I am very happy that we domintaed game one, but after watching playoff hockey in general for so many years, I have learned that ANYTHING can happen, ( and usually does! ).

Actually as much as I love the Red Wings I think the best thing that could happen to the NHL is that they get a new dynasty every decade, a highly marketable , high profile team takes charge of the league for a 5-7 year span. ( It sure has worked wonders for the NFL!

Agreed, but that would stress the need to win in regulation that much more ( as I am not a fan of the shootout at all! ), and it would add more urgency (for lack of a better word) to these so-called in-divisional rivalries! Actually I just reread your post, so your saying both teams have 4 wins in their 8 games correct? Okay so that would not necessarily give the Preds the title by having more OT losses, if the NHL used a format like say the NFL, the NEXT tie breaker would be divisonal record, and then conference record... actual record not points meaning an ot loss counts as a loss....

Class is an understatement, I met him in Traverse City in 98, he was leaving the 1st team breakfast to head to the Center Ice arena, I asked him if he would sign my jersey, of course I would have understood if he said no because they were obviously busy, but he smiled and said sure no prob. Whoever has the most wins, that's the NHL's 1st tie breaker. NOW I'M GOING TO VENT.... NHL's ist tie breaker is STUPID, STUPID, STUPID !!! Just yet another in a seemingly endless list of why the NHL can't compete with the big three. Every other sport, EVERY OTHER one, uses head to head as the tie breaker, if that doesn't apply it goes to best division record, then conference record, THEN most wins. What is the point of the RIDICULOUS amount of division/conference games if they are not even a priority in TIE BREAKING????? It's retarded!!! (okay I'm getting off my podium now...)
