That's a great point, I think it's a forgone conclusion that Dallas, Minnesota, and San Jose will get at least 2 more points before the playoffs, ALSO, in the east New Jersey, and Ottawa should also get at least two more points. That makes ELEVEN teams between the two conferences that will have 100 or more, can any one say for sure is that an NHL record? ( I would think it has to be! ) -
Just an FYI Preds have a 27-7-4 home record, pretty good...58 points Detroit- 27-4-7 61 points.

See, that is the prefect attitude Every Sunday I watch the Lions . My wife says "why do you even bother?" and I tell her "because it's funny to see how many different ways they can lose in a single season". -

It's amazing what winning can accomplish isn't it? Leyland was also ranked second in the coaching category. It's really a shame, 3 teams in the Top 20, and then ...the Lions. -

I heard a great interview with McCarty on the radio this morning, he flat out said it was the greatest game he's ever played in, period. I think I will watch the Ducks game tonight, and as soon as it's done, pop in the DVD of the old classic that my wife bought me for Christmas because she's so $%^&*$^ COOL! -

I have a black practice that I actually wear for pick-up hockey a white Yzerman Jersey a red Paul Coffey jersey a plain red wings with 97 stanley cup patch and a plain white one with 98 stanley cup and believe patches , and Steve Yzerman's autograph on the back. Needless to say that one is never worn....

I agree with all these posts so far, the instigator rule needs to go away. However given the NHL's track record in the "Bettman Era", I'm pretty sure that he will "advise" the owners to vote to approve the wrong thing with little or no thought of consulting a player's committee 1st.... :nonono:

Wow now that's the way to celebrate! Seriuosly I was really worried about Hank, this is FANTASTIC. We should have them play three games together, than have the GRIFFS finish the season so everyone is HEALTHY for the playoffs.

I'm really hoping that Datsyuk can break out of his "playoff slump" this year. He SHOULD end up 90 points or more this year which bodes well for him in contract negotiations ( possibly not so well for the Wings ), the one thing that cracks me up looking at Red Wings stats is that unless Zetterberg comes back before the playoffs, Homer has a realistic shot at leading the team in goals this year!

I would have to say in no particualr order: Yzerman Lemieux Gretzky Broduer Roy ( even though I despised him, can't argue the numbers ) Sakic Statsny Borque Messier Modano two guys that easily would have made this list had it not been for injuries, LaFontaine and Cam Neely....

Is that a TOTAL of 2 mil, or 2 mil a year? I would like to see the NHL lighten up on fighting punsihments so we can have bench clearing brawls again, just like they had up till good old 80's...(showing my age again..)
