Paul Ysebaert, wow that's a blast from the past. I got to meet Steve in the lobby at Grand Traverse in 98, I was so star struck I almost let him walk past me, but I managed to ask him for his autograph. He said: "Sure, you have a marker with you? " I said yeah and he signed my jersey, I told him that I hoped they had a great season. and he said thanks, I hope we do too. Very, very, VERY cool guy!

How many people in here would want to punch their computer monitors, if either of them (or both) pull a "Roger Clemens" and come back at the 1/2 way point and only play home games. I for one would be sick! :puke:

I think it's everything mentioned here IMHO. The 5,000 games against Nashville,Chicago, Columbus etc..ticket prices and economy. I do believe there are certain games next year that will draw huge interest when they change the schedule, but to state the obvious , ticket prices NEED to go down. Does anyone here know which team has the lowest ticket prices?

Another note on this topic, I really, REALLY miss CBC, it's the only drawback to having DirecTV.

I totally agree, I am a die hard Wings fan, but I would love to see ALL the O-6 teams put good, solid, competitive teams on the ice. When the Hawks and Wings went toe to toe in 95 WCF's it was very cool.

The marketing gurus at NASCAR are geniuses as far as I'm concerned. ( except that Dale Jr's new car is butt ugly...) The NHL could learn a lot from NASCAR , the NFL, hell even pro wrestling. These are 3 groups that truly know how to market themselves. And I do hope you realize that I was totally kidding about the deliverance comment. I couldn't help myself.

Good Deal. My family has property up there. Every summer when I was kid my Grandma would take me to that little party store in Roger's Heights and let me buy a Grape Crush and a comic book, then we'd go to the Fish hatchery in Reed City, ahhh how I used to love Big Rapids, but I digress.... I really hope Grigs has a full time role on the team this year!
