hmm yeah but you cant really compare them to athletes such as lidstrom federer and woods IMO. Ronaldinho too inconsistent and too short period of dominance. He won best player of the year 2004 and 2005. Too early with messi. He is born 1987 and havent even entered his prime yet. He is absolutely the best player in the world right now - he is dominating by age 22. And they say players hit their prime at age ~26.. Crazy. He is amazing and will probably be one of the best players ever in football. I think Lidstrom was a good pick for the winner.

I don't think his comeback attempts are pathetic, he loves the game and wants to play. His career was shortened by injuries but he won't give up because he still feels he has gas left in the tank. Can't blame him for that. Blame media who goes crazy everytime he puts on a pair of skates. He's just there to play hockey and all of a sudden there are 1000 articles about him and people start threads like this all over the internet. If something has to be pathetic its the latter. I'm not depressed but I'm not over it either.. I still have a hard time seeing pictures and videos of the pens winning and pens players with the cup. It was too close and painful for me to just see a picture of sidney with the cup and think "well done is done. see you next season".

I beleive in that game the avs were down 0-5 in the 2nd period and then forsberg had 5 points including a hattrick to win the game 7-5. one of his best games. forsberg was truly a uniqe talent! god damn his injuries
