What's funny is a few of my friends who are Kings fans are in the front row on the Ducks bandwagon. They are not true Kings fans, and here's why. A student in my wife's class is a true Kings fan and is sick to his stomach that the Ducks might actually win a cup before the Kings. He's all about the Sens right now. This year I could care less about the team that beat us getting the cup. Most people in Anaheim could care less about hockey. The majority of people in So Cal would rather go watch the LA Galaxy play soccer. I'm not saying all, but I am saying the majority. Plus I really don't like Pronger so GO SENS!!

Wow. Not good for the NHL. I think the only people that will be watching the finals will be Sens fans and Ducks fans. I know I won't be watching. Go Pistons!

You can tell that's true just by the number of Ducks fans on this board. I've lived here since 88 and the majority of people could care less about hockey. The hockey fans that I find are mostly transplants like me. And a good number of the people at the Ducks game tonight are really LA Kings fans.

Doubt they will beat the Sens if given the chance.

My buddy the Kings fan. Well, he's a Ducks fan now says to me; "Ugly, lucky, etc... goals from the Wings. The Ducks outplayed them, etc..." I say; "Wow. That's interesting that you only scored one goal." He says; "Well Dom played awesome that's for sure." I say; "Don't you think a team can create those bounces or chances where the puck ends up in the back of the net?"

Let's go Wings! Let's shut Melrose up early with a game one victory!

First let me say that I agree with your post. But isn't that like everyone being an avid Tigers fan back there now? I mean, you're always a Tigers fan but now they are good so everyone has the flag. Same could be said for the Lions. OK, so maybe we don't admit that we are Lions fans. But let the Lions start doing good and the flags will be flying. Most of my friends out here say hockey is soccer on ice, etc... But I do have some friends that are true hockey fans of the Kings and or Ducks. They're hard to find but they are here. Have a great day! Real quick. I'm not saying everyone jumps on the bangwagon only when the team is doing good. But it does happen everywhere. Like a lot of you I've been a fan of Detroit Sports since I was a kid. Through the bad and the good.

Honestly, this will be the Ducks first test. Should be a good series. Welcome to the boards.

It will be interesting to see how many Kings, I mean Ducks, fans chime in. Most people out here say; "Hockey, what's that?"

So I'm at work checking the computer whenever I get a chance. I'm mostly on the flightline or in the hangar so it's not that often. The last time I check it's 2-1 Sharks with a couple minutes left in the 3rd. I call my son Garett at home and he says; "Dad they're trying really hard but San Jose keeps clearing the puck. Wait! Hang on! SCORE! SCORE! SCORE!" So I was able to celebrate over the phone with my boy. It was so cool. The next time I checked the game was over. I called him again and he ran me through the play by play. Congrats to the Wings!!

Funny thing is this. The game wasn't as close as the scoreboard would make you believe. The shots on goal?! Not even close. No Kipper and those games are blow outs! Congratulation to the Red Wings and let's win the next round!
