Its a cop-out for the NHL Refs so they can say they dished out X amount of penalty mins in that game--gives the illusion of actually calling penalties in the middle of a game!

I am wondering by giving Perry a Roughing Penalty instead of an Instigator if this is the cop-out for not giving him a suspension acording to the NHL RULES?

NHL RULEBOOK: (NEW for 2005-06) A player who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at any time in overtime, shall be assessed an instigator minor penalty, a major for fighting, a ten minute misconduct and an automatic one-game suspension. The length of suspension will double for each subsequent offense. In addition, the player's coach shall be fined $10,000 -- a fine that will double for each subsequent incident. (NEW for 2005-06) (NOTE 1) No team appeals will be permitted either verbally or in writing regarding the assessment of this automatic suspension. Lets see if the NHL is a legit league--if this is not applied the league is a COMPLETE JOKE!!

If you get the NHL Network, the game will be rebroadcast tomorrow at 2 PM EST--set your VCR/DVR for it!

Just so all can know who missed the beginning of the game--this game is scheduled to repeat at 2PM est tomorrow on the NHL network--this is for anyone else who record all red wings playoff games, like myself, they still can get it from NHL Network.

BAD NEWS for all living OUTSIDE the Detroit TV area... I live near the Cincinnati area, I have Direct TV, I subscribe to the Center Ice Package and the Sports Channels but here is the REAL BULLs***--Versus is carrying a doubleheader playoff tonight, the 1st game Chicago-Vancouver starting at 8PM EST, then the Wings-Ducks at 10:30PM EST, I noticed Fox Sports Detroit is carrying the game but Center Ice is NOT carrying the game! what this means is I and everyone else outside of the Detroit TV area will be BLACKED OUT of the Fox Dertrot broadcast and will be forced to watch Versus. Now the real problem-- if the Chicago-Vancouver game goes OT or heaven forbid triple OT, EVERYONE ouside of Detroit will miss the Wings game because of the blackout BS!! I am paying for Center Ice $150, the extra Sports Channels $12 per month extra but will be BLACKED OUT of a game on the Detroit Channel even if the Versus 1st game goes OT and that might happen tonight---This is COMPLETE BS by the NHL to let Versus carry exclusive DOUBLEHEADER rights in playoff games!! when they dam well know lots of NHL games go OT!! I am tired of the NHL Mindless Talking Heads screwing us fans who PAY FOR THESE GAMES!!

Totally Agree If you all can remember, the Sharks have gone into the playoffs each of the last 2 seasons, ON FIRE! their last 20-30 games were the best in the NHL yet they failed in the PO's!!! REMEMBER THAT!!

Did you watch the game??? the Wings had only 4 skaters on the ice--count em 4--while the predators had 6 skaters on the ice--count em 6!! that leaves 2 skaters that the Wings players CANNOT cover---JJJEEEEESHHH!!
