Hudler--I cant see how anyone could bench him at this stage and how he is currently playing is great! Cleary--having a carreer year and if he gets back into form the last 3-4 games he will stay in the Lineup. Sammy-- can get hot scoring but it hasnt happened yet--he has to be the odd man out until someone else screws up or starts to slump! Kopecky--PLEASE!! he is done for the year and will be nothing more than a reserve in case of injuries.

After watching Bertuzzi play like a true power forward, I have to wonder what the Wings see in Lang? he is big, he has skill BUT he doesnt use his size to go to the slot or front of the net with the puck, he plays a perimiter game all the time, we dont need anymore perimiter type players!! those type of players dont do well in the playoffs! granted I know that Lang does show up for the PO's and we will have to wait and see how he does this post season, but I hope the Wings resign Bertuzzi (he wont be cheap either!) and to make cap room I cant see Lang returning with his $3 mil+ contract (by the way--is Lang a free agent after this year or does he have 1 more year left??) if he is a FA then I dont see him returning to the Wings next year if the Wings hope to resign Bertuzzi and Datsyuk.

I cant wait to see this line combination.... Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Bertuzzi..--Mouth waters.. Lang, Hudler, Calder Draper, Maltby, Franzen Filpulla, Cleary, Holmstrom with Samuelsson pushing for playing time. Bertuzzi on the 1st line will give Dats and Zetts alot more room out there and will cause the opposition to think twice about taking runs at them.

I say the same thing--nothing wrong with a tie game, sometimes both teams dont deserve to lose and sometimes both teams dont deserve to win--ties have been in the league from the start in the early 1900's. Todays game Detroit dominated the 3rd and most of the 2nd periods-they did everything but take the lead, they shut St Louis down the last 2 periods and OT BUT, then along comes the shootout and gives the team thats not doing anything but hanging on to their balls, automatic, prime, uncontested scoring chances to win the game---I say thats BULLs*** TO THE MAXXX!!!!!!! :flush: :flush: :flush:

I told everyone long ago these shootouts are BULLs***!! play the game!! 10 min 4 on 4 OT would have most likely decided this game! these shootouts dont speed anything up!! Ive seen about 10 shootouts this year that take longer to play out than an extra 5 mins added to OT would have!! NHL IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats why its lower than tractor pulls on the popularity sports list!

Stop comparing Tootoo to Maltby..Maltby has played on a checking line most of his career against the other teams top scorers...Does tootoo play against the other teams top scorers?? I'll bet he doesnt!! Does toots play on the PK unit all the time??? NO!! so stop with the comparisons, Maltby is way more versatile than Tootoo will ever be!!
