I finally came to the realization a few games ago that the reason Sammy shoots the puck so much, even with zero angle, 100 ft away, etc, is because he literally cannot do anything else with the puck. I'm sure the coaches see this also, and that's why they tell him to shoot it. He's going to give it away one way or another, might as well fling it at the goalie right? I literally laughed out loud when I saw him on that breakaway the other day....only Sammy could make something look so terrible.

I don't like how the NBA season starts just a short time after the NHL for this very reason. They should spread it out a good month or so.

Ozzie is robbing the Stars left and right and these cheese dick announcers haven't said one thing about it other than..."He got that one" or "what a shot by so and so"...absolutely no credit to the Wizard.

If the Wings continue to play like they did the past 2 games, then yes, they'll be golfing by late next week. If the Wings decide to play like we all know they can, then this series will be over Monday night. What really bothers me is the fact that the Wings had the opportunity to finish off the Stars twice in a row now, and they came out flat as can be. I'm especially worried that the Wings didn't finish them off at home today. There was absolutely no urgency today. As mentioned, even in the locker room afterwards, the players were just like "well.....we need to stay focused and do a better job, blah blah." I too would like to see some pissed off players, mad at how bad they've played the past two games, and to play with some real passion for a change. I don't think people are giving the Stars enough credit either, they have obviously figured out a way to shut down D and Z, and are playing a very good defensive game. The Wings performance as of late make them look more and more like a one line team (which we know they aren't). On the other hand, the Wings were terrible today and I don't recall ever seeing the Wings completely miss the net like they did today. Homer, Chelios, Cleary, Mac, Sammy (thats a given), all had terrible games. The only players I felt had a really good game were Dats, Hudler, and Lebda. I think the Stars now have a very good chance at coming back and winning this series. I don't want to hear any crap about "not being a true Wings fan" because I think the Stars have a chance. The Wings can easily beat this Stars team and go on the win the cup....it's just a matter of whether they want to or not. I guess we'll see....the Stars have momentum and a trip back to Dallas on their side now.

The worse game I've ever seen Homer play.....missing the entire net from point blank, failing to lift the puck off the ice to score, and horribly undisciplined. Chelios needs to sit next game for Lilly Pad, and the entire team needs to get their collective heads out of their asses.
