I agree. I'm a little worried about not having another big name forward. I don't think Hudler can hang with the big guys all season. Just my opinion. Every time I look at the roster I can't help but think " there is definitely someone missing".

My #1 choice is easily the March 26, 1997 game vs. the Avs.....that is the absolute best hockey game I've ever seen. #2 is Stevie's 2OT goal against the Blues.

I'm sure, even though we don't really hear too much about it, that Ozzie plays a large role in the locker room as well. Even if it's playing jokes like putting his pads in Berts locker, etc, those types of things add to the cohesiveness of a team.

It sounds like they are just working on the contract length with Bert....I'm optimistic that they'll work something out and he'll be back.

My very first game was quite a few years back...I think I was like 12. The Wings were playing the Penguins at the Joe and it was when Probert had (at the time) the longest fight in NHL history against Marty McSorley - 1:32 long I think it was. It was a great first game to be at even though they lost 6-3. EDIT: I found the video -

Seriously, please go back to your Duck boards and post there. Nobody here wants to hear what you have to say. We are Wings fans, this is a RED WINGS board. If you do decide to continue to post here, please tell us why a fan of another team would want to post on the opposing team's boards. I've been curious about this ever since the playoffs started. It's never even crossed my mind to go to another team's boards, because IMO it's childish, annoying, and quite simply retarded.

The piss poor play in their own zone is why the Wings are loosing this series. Simple as that.

In Lilja's defense, he has had a great post season. Everyone screws up, unfortunately his screw up cost the Wings game 5. But as already mentioned, this is a pretty devastating loss considering how/when the f***s tied it up and how it was won in OT. This would be extremely hard for any team to come back from especially heading back to the west coast.
