I have a good feeling about Bert in this series. If he gets pumped up and really starts crashing the net like the Bert of old, he will be a major factor.

Is re-signing Maltby 3-yrs a BIG MISTAKE?

Maltby is a huge part of the Wings. If he goes, I'd be willing to bet Draper's performance drops and the PK stats go down dramatically. I have a hard time imagining the Wings without #18. I'm very pleased he's around for at least 3 more years -
Bertuzzi. I love having him on the Wings. He'll be very good once 100% healthy.

I like the idea of Bert on the 1st line with Dats and Z. His ability to use his size to keep puck possession around the net could work out well with a pass to the snipers. Hopefully Homer heals up quick and will be back for game 2.
