I personally believe there is a leadership problem with this current team. No way should they be consistently blowing multi-goal leading games like they have the past month or so. There is absolutely no excuse for games like this, especially for the talent the Wings have. Injuries are no excuse, they just flat out quit playing. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to watch them anymore this season because I'm sick of seeing them blow games like this.....pathetic.

Totally agree......he hit the nail square on the head. Every great dynasty has to come to an end.

It's time for the captains to step up and be leaders, and I don't necessarily mean by playing better. I have to believe if Stevie was still at the helm, these third period issues would have corrected themselves behind closed doors, especially after last nights debacle. That's the difference between good leaders and great ones. It's also time for the multi-million dollar players to start actually earning their paychecks...

I've never hated an NHL player as much as I hate Crosby....after watching/listening to his post game press conferences over the past two Cup Finals, I lost all respect for him. I didn't mind him until I heard him complain and make excuses for every little thing, and wouldn't give Hank any credit for shutting him down in the '08 finals, skating over to the refs after every little play where he was knocked down, tied up, etc. I'll never forget when one reporter asked him about Hank totally shutting him down during one game in '08 and prevented him from scoring a sure goal he said "I don't see what the big deal is, I didn't really think it was that great of a play". He's just a reminds me of a spoiled, arrogant, little ***** and I hate him.

I'm sorry, but he's not being paid MILLIONS a year to play well "when he wants to be". In my opinion, he's been by far the biggest disappointment this year.....there is no justifying his paycheck, unless something major happens in the second half of this season and he decides he wants to pick up his game. Don't get me wrong, he's not sucking, but he's not earning his paycheck either.

Does anyone know of a website/place that sells this as a print? I want it! I remember watching this game live like it was yesterday - still the best Wings game I've ever watched.

If the Wings actually make the playoffs (and that's a big "if"), my guess is Howard will get his shot right off the bat, and if he starts to go downhill, Ozzie will take over just like in years past, and do very well.

Totally agree. Not sure where people are getting info that he's having personal issues, and even if he were, too bad, suck it up and deal with it. He's not being paid millions a year to slack due to personal problems, he's a professional athlete being paid ridiculous amounts of money, at least play like it. By far the biggest disappointment to me.

I must say, I'm a member of many different online forums ranging from car forums to lawn care, and LGW by FAR has the largest collection of immature, name-calling, argumentative a##holes over the others....so I do agree with the title of this thread to a point, lol. I guess it's to be expected when dealing with sports though, as sports in general attract a large a##hole base, why would an online forum be any different? I continue to visit these forums to read the GDT's - they are well put together and informative, which I really like. Kudos to the guys that create them! I just can't stand the immature jerks that start ridiculous threads and complain about ANYTHING when things are going a little south for the Wings. It is ridiculous to the point of being comical....

I guarantee if the Wings were on winning streak and playing well, etc, this would be a thread abou how well Bertuzzi has been looking and "is a good deal for the money" etc. I'm so sick of the idiot "fans" on this board that start threads just for the sake of starting them to complain about whatever just because they're mad the Wings are sucking this year. How many periods has it been since the Wings have scored a goal? 8? The entire team has to be royally sucking for a stat like that, not just one guy.

I actually could only watch that replay once.....it was gross. Can't believe all his ligaments/tendons aren't blown out in his knee, it looked terrible.

Bertuzzi has been working his ass off, I wish his work ethic this season would rub off on a few others. I'd much rather have him be trying too hard and make a few mistakes than not trying at all. In other news, this thread sucks....

I too am very happy that he is a Wing again and am satisfied with his play thus far. With Flip and the Mule out, now is his chance to really step up and solidify his need on this team.

I don't agree with the OP at all....I've been impressed with his play thus far. As mentioned, last night he looked very solid.

I'm very glad that Bertuzzi is a Wing again. I couldn't care less what people think about the Red Wings organization and their "class" etc. If you ask me, I think it's pretty ridiculous that any fan really cares what other team's fan's think about another organization. It's almost as ridiculous as people who refer to the Red Wings as "we" or "our", etc. Anyways, if I really cared about what other people and other teams thought about the Wings, I'd rather have them be a little worried about Bert getting a little nasty than thinking the Wings are a bunch of "soft Europeans hiding behind their shields". The Wings could use a couple more nasty players with that same reputation. Am I the only one who misses old time rock'em sock'em hockey? I don't much care for this pansy-ass, complain about everything, call everything, new rules era. I want to see sticks, skates, and fists a' flyin!

I'd gladly welcome Big Bert back in Hockeytown....I miss his beard. It was nice seeing him body slam Phaneuf (sp?) too.
