I agree. After listening to Kenny last night, I wouldn't bet the pot on Z being back for sure.

Cool story. You did the right thing by not bothering him.
-
I've never liked him and never will. I'm glad he's helping the team though....
-
You could see his leg/foot get turned in a weird way when he hit the boards, I could tell something bad happened. It looked pretty gross actually.
-
Agreed 100%. I don't miss him at all and never liked him.

Wings 3 - 1 even with a poor ice surface due to irregular bumps all over the ice surface. It is later determined that the strange bumps were formed from hundreds of frozen tears from Cindy Crosby

Hossa puts a "!" on the win with a perfectly placed blast.

The question was who would you rather keep, Mule or Franzen. How can you make a choice on who you'd rather "keep" when the season hasn't even started yet? Lets say Franzen has a terrible season and only scores like 15 goals, while Hossa leads the team in points or something. Not a tough choice there, obviously most people would want to keep Hossa even at a much higher salary. But let's say both Franzen and Hossa score 30+ goals and are very close in points...then the choice on who to "keep" would be a little easier. Most people would probably say keep Franzen since he's producing about the same with a much smaller cap hit. It's like picking between two new cars....most people want a test drive before they decide. Call it a "cop-out" all you want.
-
Ok Yeah, lets compare Hossa and Franzen and who we'd rather keep before the season even starts..... Sorry for the "cop-out".
-
I'd much rather see how this season goes before answering.

I agree. A contract is a contract. -
Cool! It's neat to hear that a star player like Hossa is excited to play here

When I was like 11 or 12, my cousin, his friend, and I were bored and found some old hockey sticks in my uncle's house. We decided to go play some street hockey and all pretended to be a pro hockey player. I didn't know ANYTHING about hockey at the time. My cousin's friend wanted to be Gretzky, my cousin was Howe, and he told me I could be Yzerman (even though I had no idea who he was). A few days after playing that night I saw a Red Wings game on PASS while flipping through the channels. I wanted to see who this Yzerman guy was that I was supposed to be the other night. Well, I found out who he was all right, and how awesome hockey was. I was hooked on hockey, the Wings, and Yzerman from that day.

The Great Brett Favre Kerfuffle of 2008
Copenhagen848 replied to timothy1997's topic in Other Sports
I hate the Packers but actually used to like Favre. I've completely lost all respect for him because of this cluster however, and I'm sure a lot of die hard Favre/Packer fans have also. Especially if he goes to Minnesota! -
Or waffleboard The "DDDDRIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVEEE" absolutely DRIVES me effing crazy. I personally can't stand any of the guys on Versus, they honestly took away some of the pleasure of watching the playoffs for me when I had no other option but to listen to those ****** bags. Ken and Mickey are excellent and by far the best...and that's not a homerism either, they are great.
-
I don't know if anyone else got that...but I did
-
To tell you the truth, I was waiting from some broke-dick to play the race card on this one....turns out this ****** bag was the first one. Gimmie a fu@*ing break!

I used to watch him play at Northern Michigan as I am from Marquette......it's great to see he finally got his cup with the team he started with, and in the same state he played his college hockey. -
MacInnis Gallant or Burr?

oops, double post.

I will. I believe that the only jobs that are actually worth millions of dollars is maybe a job that you have a high probability of getting killed at everyday or one that saves lives regularly......in no way does playing a game for a living justify millions of dollars a year in pay. However, I would gladly accept the money if I were in their shoes......er, skates.
