For looks, crosby. for explosive performance, ovechkin. Those of you who say he doesnt play defence, obviously you're missing all the hits he's made during the playoffs alone. I'm a season ticket holder for the caps, and ovechkin is probably one of the best two way players on the team. given the face that he does hover on the side at times, he's done awesome jobs stealing pucks. Malkin sort of lacked during the season and is now picking up. if i wanted consistency, Ovechkin would be first. B

argh! I must be surrounded by my own kind. Sitting at home while watching the ducks and wings go at it isnt too bad of an idea, but being with some people is a lot more fun. All the caps fans are bummed but at least have two fave teams. Anything, anyone? Hooters @ Rockville? B

Being at the game, there were some missed calls on both ends, but the refs sure missed some significant calls, but then again, they were happening outside of the game play area. Not only that, but this was kept out of the media until it was revealed last night after the game: Ovie had a minor groin pull, Semin had an undisclosed injury, Green had a bum shoulder, and Pothier was playing with a broken foot. I dont know if these things really would've made a BIG difference, but after going to just about every home game for the caps, i'm confident to say that these arent just a bunch of "Wet behind the ears" guys. I've seen them play and basically, this was more of a "off game", but sure one hell of a day for it to happen. A strong majority of the players grew up from the hershey bears team and moved on to play with the caps. So it's not like they all didnt know each other.. but a majority of them played previously for the bears. I will say this.. the Caps fans are incredible. They showed class, and while some of you may think i'm posting a biased remark about the pens fans, well, they're some of the worst fans ever. I don't know which is worse, pens or flyers. Going to the stanley cup game last year, i got yelled at, hounded, and even some bratty 13 yr old kid poking me in the back saying "red wings suck" while i'm taking a piss, I'm confident i can safely say the pens fans are nothing but a bunch of idiots. At least 5 or 6 got kicked out yesterday from the game because they simply didnt know when to shut up. obnoxious behavior and beer will do that to you. Anyways, i'm proud of the caps for doing what they have done in the last 2 years.

I was at the game.. What a game it was! I thought about even wearing my wings jersey just to show my dissapointment with the caps' latest slide. Lot of sid bashing, despite his goals, the fans gave him hell. Hoping for a caps vs pens playoff. If anyone wants tickets and if I have extras, send me a PM. Being at the game when this happened, it was sort of a moral booster for the crowd. Given the latest slump, any goals scored by the caps is a godsend. Semin's 100th was nice, fed's goal was nice.. just nice to know it's not a shut out. Crowd has been anemic as of late, but hopefully things will turn around. Better to have the slump now than during the playoffs. B

He'll be fine. I've seen him take monster hits and pucks to the feet before and watch him skate it off. -B

Hey folks, I was at the Caps vs Thrasher's game last nite.. If Lehtonen can do repeat performances of what I witnessed last night, the then Wings have to sign him somehow for backup. Knowing that the Caps won, but seeing what Lehtonen did was really well. Funny thing was, i was wondering if there were Red Wing scouts at the game last nite. -B

I see ovechkin play at every caps home game. Whenever he gets the puck on a breakaway, everyone, and i mean just about EVERYONE jumps to their feet to see what he'll do next. He's unpredictable. and yes, he does play good defence. He even does a great job that. I can't explain how much of a turnaround he's done for the caps. Despite his 124 million dollar contract, he's earned every penny of it as far as I'm concerned. Not only that, he's already on par to break his own record for the number of goals scored per year. Having met this guy, he's a pretty humble kid. One thing that I like about him, he doesnt whine about every little thing, unlike Cindy does. Ovie plays a CLEAN game. When I saw the Det vs Caps game, i saw two highly skilled teams playing their best. They both played a clean game. Ovie for MPV. It's already a fact. B

Lower Level for me. Although i will confess i'm a huge caps fan (i have season tickets), loyalty still lies within the wings. I'm really looking forward to this game. Oh yeah, that lucky son of bisch. Everyone was like.. wait.. there's a guy? He's the only male that tried and actually does a pretty good job. At least he doesnt act all poofy around the gals.

While I was at the game to witness this, the crowd went nuts. I'm a season ticket holder for the Caps, but seeing Semin fight like that made me cringe. I hadnt realized that he was fighting like that until later on after I saw the slow motion replay. But the rangers were playing a physical game, to an extent that it wasn't necessary. 3 fights in one game last night, and i've yet to see more than one fight ever at a home caps game. The rangers were just being excessive and a lot of missed calls by the refs. (at least Semin didn't do what Crosby-*****-cindy did. Now, those of you who are going to the Caps vs Wings game, is there a meeting up place somewhere? all i know is this will be one hell of a sweet kick ass game. B

Seeing Semin play here in DC for all of the Cap's home games... i've gotta say this much.. from the crowd response when he scores, it's insane. problem now is, what will happen when his contract is up? will he leave or stay. Who's going to the Caps vs Wings game? -B

Ok, I'm miffed. The jersey i got was defect. Seems like they buy all the imperfect ones and sell them cheap. I got two of them, one for me and one for a friend. My friend's AO jersey, the "oveckkin" name is slightly slanted. on the other hand, my jersey is the worst. They kept telling me delays were for product quality inspections... that's a wad of BS. My defective jersey has the following issues: The front caps logo, the red ink bled onto the white. Hence, part of the front of the logo is now pink. The #8 on the back, the stitching that is supposed to hold the lettering on, it never made it's way around the 8. so the top left corner is a little loose and has an opening. Really dont know what to say. Tried contacting their customer service and i got throw into some "transfer queue to mark" and that was it. I've pretty much had it. lousy s***ty customer service. I've been patient. The least they could've done was spend 20 seconds looking at the actual jersey and saying "oh, this is a defect.". I'm filing a complaint and getting my money back. Folks, take your chances, but if you get yours, make sure there arent any problems on it like I had. B

Eh Lucky me... here i am in NJ for work, and my new jersies are waiting for me in my mailbox. oh the inhumanity!!!! light in the box's service should be called "no light in the box". Their customer service SUCKS the unmentionable. Each time i've tried their online chat, they never had an answer on when my shirts would ship. Last time they said 8-10 working days. it's been 3 weeks. still in processing. Those people are probably just reading a script. I even threatened to cancell the order, and that didnt work either. I'm gonna threaten them with war and see if that works. -B

Have any of you tried the "live chat"? I clicked on it and instead of the "post order", i selected pre-order and got a live person. I ordered mine this past sunday, they said it would ship within 2 days. -me

Just ordered my Ovechkin Jersey. (and 3 more for my other buddies). This is the shocker on how cheap they are - one regular jersey like the one on their site will sell for 199.00 at the team store where the Caps play. I was able to order *4* jerseys for less than the price of a single jersey and still have plenty of $ left over to full up my gas tank. $142 bucks for 4 ovechkin jersies. hopefully they won't be flukes. how does the sizing come up? I already have 5 red wings jerseys from CCM. Normally i can wear a size L or XL and still have some room. So basically, I'd be better off ordering an XL or XXL? (XXL scares me...) Thanks! B

Wanted to share with you guys some pics I took while I was at game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals vs Pittsburgh. They're not as good as my Caps pictures as I had a point and shoot camera. Quite a lot of them. Some are good, some suck, most are average.
