it's officially Kenny's fault. he called the consulate and asked if they could drag it out for Ellis's sake.

at the age of 58 years old, Dallas Drake does not need a nickname. remember, this is the guy that Bowman said "this is the dumbest hockey player I've ever coached". If you give him a nickname, he may get confusded as to who he is. so be careful. k.

beat you to it betterred. my friend is a camera man for fsn and nbc, he laughs at the vs. guys. although, he really had fun with the rail cam last playoffs. don't worry, vs. will be gone soon. k.

that was the worst camera work ever for a SH.

Dom's was last years playoff bonus. Kronwall's is the result of the contract extension he signed. The cap hit is the average of the entire contract. In Kronwall's case, that is 3 million.

Yes. The individual teams decide who and when and how many games they play.

i' m assuming that's how much the author of the article thinks it's going to take to get Yashin. "more than 4 million" it would read better if said "The wings might be interested if he was affordable. Although it looks like he could command more than 4 million on the open market." that's how i read it.

no one is considering yashin. read southerwingsfan and crymson's posts. they have it right.

he was signed for the team in bridgeport. "The 27 year-old MacDonald will fill the spot vacated by the Islanders signing of Wade Dubielewicz to serve as Rick DiPietro's back-up for the upcoming season."
-
the source for this article is the detroit news article being discussed in the yashin thread. so it's not a new independent source.

my first game was a playoff game in '78. i remember that they won, so it most likely against atlanta. it was a last minute thing. my dad came home with 4 tickets, and he took me and two of my friends. i remember thinking the seats would be sweet because of the row number. they ended up being the last row before the press box. that was actually fun for us, we didn't have to sit, we could joke around a little more, all because there was no one behind us. by the way, i was 8 years old. i wasn't able to see another game in person until the last playoff game against san jose in '94. that game i sat three rows behind the bench. the sharks owner sat right in front of me. he didn't like sitting in the suite. dino c. was a beast that game. he spent all of his time on the bench leaning over and taunting someone on the sharks bench. it was cool. aat the end on the game mac gave his stick to one of the guys that was at the game with me. all very cool. NFM#25 - i was the same, i've been avoiding writing in this thread for some reason. oh well. k.

there is a petition online to get the sens to honor him in some way. maybe a patch or sticker on the helmet. go here: http://www.petitiononline.com/elginott/petition.html and sign. it will be a nice gesture. k.
