Wow there kids are good. 2 PP goals by the Hawks were solid. In saying that, refs need to even it up a bit and let us get the man adv a few times.

Well apparently you didn't read my previous post that led to this comment bud. I'm basically arguing the same thing your saying. Its called " sarcasm " What Avery did wasn't even in the ballpark of what those " scumbags " did and the NHL is getting it all wrong. If Avery beat and killed dogs or shot up a strip club then I would be marching down main street with a sign to lynch him!!! The comment Avery made was stupid and immature but in my opinion worth a fine, not a flippin suspension. You should read all the post before you attack someone because it made you look dumb here. I wouldn't want any of those guys in my league yet the NFL let Irvin back in and put him into the Hall Of Fame disregarding the fact of his off field antics. The guy was arrested with 3 hookers and enough cocaine to supply Nam yet the Dallas fans cheered him when he made his comeback. I'm not saying that it makes the sport look good. I'm not saying it's going to make everyone all of the sudden love hockey. I am saying it would have drawn viewers to that game though. I personally had no interest in that game untill I had saw that comment. " thats a commonly heard statement thats just not true? Thats a bunch of bs!!! I know loads of people that watched the 1rst game Bert played against the Avs after his suspension. Is he a good guy for the hit? Not at all, but people watched that particular game because of all that was possibly going to take place. I hate hate hate basketball!!! I would rather watch grass grow than a BBall game, but when the Shaq and Kobe fued took place I watched every minute of the game a few years ago. Guess what? The NBA and its negative publicity got an extra viewer that day. There was way worse said between those two.

Yeah cause the NFL is going to lose all there viewers since Plax shot himself, Pacman shot up a strip club and Nate Newton got pulled over with enough weed to kill a small horse. Lets see, shouldn't the MLB viewers quit watching since Manny pissed in left field or the fact that alot of them were called out for doing roids? The fact is, like it or not no publicity could be a bad thing for the NHL right now. It would interest people and draw attraction to the game.

Talentless thugs? Really? I have lived in Detroit, Florida and Dallas and have never heard of anyone accuse a professional Hockey player as talentless thug. The leagues with thugs are more and likely recognized as NBA and NFL. Lets see guys like Pacman, Irvin and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys are thugs. Most people who I know who don't follow hockey say its because they are unfamiliar with it. People who didn't grow up with an NHL team to watch and or didn't have ice to play on. Do people view hockey as a rough sport? Of course, but thats not a bad thing. Thats a really dumb comment to make guy. However, be honest with yourself. If you had a friend and explained to him the comment Avery had made before the game don't you think it would gain his interest to see what happens? From what alot of people have already expressed, I think everyone had to gain interest. Face it, Avery made a stupid comment and is a pest but the NHL made a worse comment saying he's suspended.

Not saying I agree with Avery and the comments he made, but I think the NHL got it all wrong on this one. I don't think you should suspend a guy for a personal comment unless it's absolutely directed at another individual. Of course we know what he's talking about but he didn't say it direct. Its not slander. Its true. Suspend Dion to then for being guilty as charged even know he wasn't directly called out but implied by us. I just think hockey has way more to worry about then flippin AVERY all the time. Suspend people taking illegal hits, or even divers at that. Oh well just my opinion but don't get me wrong I think what he did was stupid, just not suspension worthy.

I couldn't agree more... Oz knows he's gotta be better and I think he will break out of this funk soon. Its too early to discuss bringing up Howard and moving Conks to #1... The good thing about the wings is they do have options and talent in the orginization and come the end of the year when it counts the best players will be on the ice. Keep in mind, Hasek was pulled in the Nashville series and never saw the ice again. Have faith in Babs and more importantly have faith that Oz will get a lift and get goin.

Man I'm not going to argue this cause no ones changing my mind about this. I will say that Avery is a prick and probably is an ass in the locker room, but Brown is being soft. Don't go to the press to address an issue like this!!! Its stupid!!! He's a hockey player, and a damn good one at that. If he has a problem with someone he should take it out on the ice, not to someone with a piece of paper and a microphone. I just lost a lot of respect for him. I do apologize for saying beav though. I assume the guy has millions of dollars and is an NHL player and probably doesn't have a bad life. I'll keep it pg next time.

I would get handled on the ice! I'd bet Hudler would even have his way with me. I just started playing hockey 3 years ago and got into a bout with a guy who could actually skate pretty good and he whipped me. I'm not embarrased to admit it cause it was the funnest beating I've ever recieved.
