I like what Mick had to say about Grigs last night. The kid is gonna get every chance possible to make the orginization and I think he'll eventually prevail. No doubt about it he has skill, we just gotta be sure he can adjust to this speed. Think about how far he's already came. As for the shootout goal, Very Nice.

Is this guy serious? Babcock (beer) is the perfect coach for the orginization right now. I thought he had the boys flying in the post season, yet they fell short. I don't think they fell short cause of lack of effort though. I think they fell short cause they played a team just as good as them that had some big bounces in big moments. To respond to the crap about "Babs in Anaheim". Do you remember the team that he faced in the first round of those playoffs? A team with Feds, lids and Stevie Y...........? He SWEPT them. Doesn't know how to treat his vets? Do you by chance remember the job he had Ruchin do? Come on with that bulls*** man.

The 1rst period was pretty exciting pre-season hockey. Downey had a nice tussle and Erikson showed he has a damn good slap shot. From what I seen Kronner and Lebs were in regular season speed along with the Flips, Huds and Franzen. Its still tough to call who should get the last slots on the roster. Grigs looked pretty good. He needs to learn to move the puck better in transition, but aside from that he seemed to have good vision on the ice on the offensive side. If it were up to me I would put him on a line with Drapes and Malts and let him dangle and grind. I was kinda disappointed in Ryno. A guy as big as him needs to be alot more physical. He looked slow and lazy all night aside from 1 shift. I am going to apologize in advance to all Osgood fans, but WOW!!! I can't believe that guy is a professional goalie. If you seen the game then your probably going to agree with that comment. Berk came in the 3rd and was great. Berk made some big saves and looked steady and confident. Sopel wasn't very impressive, had some big turn overs and looked a step slow. Downey played really good. I think he's a good addition to our club, he's a tough cat and plays with heart. If he can bring that every game I'd say give him a jersey. IMO Grigs and Downey won the slots. IMO I'd trade Osgood for that girl goalie who played for Tampa years ago and let Berk be the #2. Thats all I got so tee off.

Hasek is not going to get as many starts this year to help prevent that, but that said I still wish J Howard got a legit chance to be the #1, but that'll never happen unless Hasek indeed gets a pulled groin.

I live in Dallas and it snows!!! Do you realize that you were talking earlier of how you love hockey and watch it no matter who's playing, and now your saying it doesn't belong where it doesn't snow. Make up your mind. Teams in the south is a good thing for the NHL it gets more viewers.

Keep in mind I said "most people". I live in the south and see how hockey is treated here. I got alot of friends who are Stars fans and they'll watch the Stars but thats it. It was the same thing when I lived in Tampa and Nashville. I'm sure alot of people on this site are ginormous hockey fans. I would also bet theres a bigger number of people who watch all The Wings games and might ocassionally watch another team if nothing else is on. So big ups to you trying to help the sport, but unfortunently not everyone else is. My comment above is true, and "the state" that our great game is in proves it.

I agree 100%. I watched him play a few games in Russia and thought he was great. This kid is gonna gel he just needs time and experience.

I know this is really early to discuss, but its always fun to think about. Come trade deadline, who do think will become a Wing? Be realistic... Try to stay away from playstation trades. Think about good players on non contending teams.
