AFLEC is the king of the GDT. Great stuff. I'd like to see the wings blow one open, but I think that will have to wait till Friday, when the hawks come to town. This should be a tuff one, even when we put up 40 plus shots, kipper is always hard to beat. This one will be a 1 goal game, probably some more "free" hockey.

Especially since he's only faced 62 shots ( total for 3 games), makes me alittle worried if they come across a team that peppers them.

Bottom line, the Joe looked emptier last night, than it did against the ducks. I don't know how'd they could do it, but let the upper level fans fill in the lower bowl for the 3rd period or something. It really looks empty to everyone watching.

I agree, he creates lots offensive chances with his speed. But he needs to do this more. He gets 2 maybe 3 good rushes a game, but it'll really help the O if he does this more.

Hey, This early in the season, give both of your goalies some work. With a 42 yr old goalie, it's smart to keep your backup fresh. No Dom bashing at all, just smart hockey.

There have been many good points brought up in this thread, however, I really don't think it has anything to do with the NA-vs European players or that the wings are boring & predictable. You want boring, the Devils own the market on that! The fact is the averge "Joe" hockey fan can't afford to go a game. Heck, I bought the center ice package for what I would of spent to go to the Avs game last night. This will be felt by all the teams in the league this season. The avs had their 1st non sell-out opening day, since they've been here. So I don't think its a "hockeytown" thing as much as its a money crunch for the fan.

Actually, they were 2/7 for a 28.6%, which is a pretty darn good percentage. Last year the Habs lead the league with a PP of 23%. You're right though, we need to score @ even strength. But, they had some good chances, so I'm not to worried about them scoring.
