I thought it was obvious Detroit stepped it up this game. They look better than the last few games, that's for sure.

Well Rangers-Stars game just ended, 10-2 Dallas. Rangers are on a four game losing streak and I think they said the last time they let in 10 goals was back in `93 vs Pittsburgh. Veliquette just played terrible, absolutley terrible. It was 3-1 Dallas after the first, 4-2 Dallas after the second, and then Dallas scored 6 goals in the third.

Funny, they were showing them doing practice drills from the other night. They will probably be doing suicides till dusk after this beat down.

I'm not going to get my hopes up but, hopefully this game will give Detroit an opportunity for better things to come. Maybe a bigger game for Pittsburgh, as they are sitting on tenth spot in the east, three points out of the playof picture. Here we are in February, I think it'll be a big game for both Pittsburgh and Detroit as I expect for the two teams to play with great enthusiasm. -

Gretzky overrated? Holy s***, 92 goals in one season, 163 points in one season, record of 215 points in one season. That doesn't even include the playoffs, how do you overrate that? I don't think people get it, here's an example, in`84-`85 he finished with 208 points, Jari Kurri 2nd in the league with 135 points! I don't like the guy as a coach but christ, waaaaay overrated?! Unreal is the only word to come to mind.
