At very least, the Wings' skaters could start playing hockey, that sure would be swell. We've been so stupid and lazy lately, something I never thought I would be so used to saying after teams like 2008's cup winner. -

This is understandable in the NFL scenario of first cheap shot missed, second cheap shot gets caught. This is twenty cheap shots seen and ignored, reciprocated shot seen and called.

The weird thing about Franzen is how unstoppable his is when he is on, and how invisible he is when he is off. When he is going on a goal scoring tear, using that great shot, I honestly think, "How is he not a 60+ goal scorer? How can any team keep him off the scoresheet?" But when he plays like this, I get to thinking that its easier for him to be great short-term and injured long-term, let them talk about if he played a full season how great he would be. Worries me honestly.

Most frustrating thing about tonight's powerplay goal, and many others in the past. Watching the replay only makes it more infuriating. Its like watching a kid poke the dog over and over and over and over and then the dog nips, not bites, nips, and do you blame the kid? No, bad dog! Its like the rules are different with Holmstrom. There seriously must be a chapter in the REAL rule book just for how to officiate around Holmstrom.

How is it that Holmstrom gets at least 4 crosschecks in front of the net (as per the usual) with no call, gives one back and its a penalty. Pathetic... Plus, nice theatrics from H. Sedin...
