Campbell is fantastic for us, and usually gets overlooked. Its hard to find someone with as many assists for us while wearing the other teams sweater. And by making such endearing statements as calling the Kron Wall "gutless", he has provided us all with great laughter at his expense. He really is generous to us Red Wings fans.

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha wtf? MULE!

When we got Hossa, I thought it was a no brainer that we would have another elite winger to play with our asset Filppula, leave the DZH line to its chemistry and replace Samuelsson with Hossa on the Filppula and Franzen line. I think Val and Marian have some damn good chemistry.

WCF GAME 4 GDT: Red Wings 6, at Blackhawks 1

Upcoming segment on "Are the Penguins destined to win the Cup".... never ends does it? -
wow...... this is really bad..... really, really bad.... wtf happened?

Campbell was so biased and came across as so sniveling during his interviews, its was pathetic. I'd like to think the guy hasn't seen the hit and was reading it on some Hawks forum, but the sad thing is, he wants to believe Kronwalls check was the dirtiest thing in the world so bad and that his hit on Umberger two years ago was just good clean hockey. Never liked Campbell, his little spin-o-rama he whips out twice a game, always seemed whiny, and now there is no doubt. "You can't do that! I'm the bestest hitter, I hit right. He was swinging two sticks and four of his monster fists, he was 11 feet tall and it was intermission when he hit my teammate, he's a bad hitter."
-
It was one Toews, stick went between his face and visor. Never saw any blood and it looked like it grazed him more than anything. I always feel a little better getting to actually see the blood, but I'm gonna give the refs the benefit of the doubt, even though they've done anything but earn it.

"Absolutely FANTASTIC!" to see Babcock defending Kronwall like he did in today's presser. http://redwings.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?ca...-6&id=42524

www.TSN.ca/nhl did a piece called "A New Debate" on the hit and Campbell sounds like a snivelling girl about it. He obviously is just upset about the hit and according him Kronwall jumped, hit him with forearms not shoulder, and Havlat wasn't playing the puck. At least Sharp said it was a hard hit and Kronwall is someone they have to watch out for. Kronwall seems upset about all the attention to it, at least in my eyes, seems like he feels really bad, but it was a great hockey hit. Campbell needs to button his lips on the hit, he obviously has no idea what he is talking about.
-
Its his bias towards the home team and the Hawks official stance on the hit, that he hadn't yet played the puck. Rules say something along the lines of "last player to touch the puck is considered last in possession", but we all know sheltering the puck or skating with the puck like Havlat was is possession. He knew the puck was in his feet, he was glancing up to read the play before he got it with his stick, when he went to find it, he got mowed down cleanly.
-
So true it makes me sick. He will never just admit his officials make mistakes, especially at the frequency they have this playoff. Babcock said it best: Players can have bad games. Coaches can have bad games. But THEY (the refs) aren't allowed to have bad calls or games? The NHL's stance that their refs are infallible disgusts me. PS: Drop the f***in' puck, stop this pump-fake BS they do EVERY faceoff, like instead of just getting on with play, they are intentionally trying to oust one player from the circle each time.
-
cut. dry. exactly how the refs saw it, thus not calling anything on the play..... until Martin Rehablat got injured... again. Then a misconduct materializes.
-
I've dreamed of holding refs accountable for years. It is honestly starting to resemble a fascist state, the fact that the NHL denies their refs even make mistakes, let alone make them accountable for the games they are deciding on more and more frequent occasions. And even more to the point, coaches and players are FINED for saying the refs f***ed up when the refs f***ed up. Its like some weird nazi game where Hitler (Bettman) puts an elephant (terrible reffing) in the room, and first one to mention it goes to Auschwitz.
-
Somewhere, Scott Stevens is crying, Gary Bettman is laughing, and last nights squad of officials is cashing checks they don't deserve. Its become a joke when an early whistle because one guy doesn't see the puck when he is out of position can erase a perfectly good goal in the playoffs, and on plays like this no ref raises their arm until after the bodies are off the ice because they have a bleeding heart for a downed man in HOCKEY. Complete fabrication. For me its the equivalent of everyone seeing a good goal, but the goaltender gives puppy-dog eyes and quivery lip, so they decide to make a no-goal call. Same senario, everyone sees one thing, but the aftermath makes them go against what their brain knows to be true. Can I institute a vote of No-Confidence in the NHL?

Babs is a great motivator and really personifies the business first Red Wings. Babs was pissed about the first, probably making some great Babcockian sarcastic comments, but it was no time to be laughing down 2-0. Mule understands.

I watched this intermission clip this morning on YouTube and applauded them. Its true. Unfortunate Havlat got hurt, but that changed a momentum swinging clean hit into 5 minutes of offensive hibernation for the Wings. Removed their number 3 defenseman and changed the whole complexion of the game.
-
This is what pissed me off so much about this play. I don't want to see anyone get hurt, but this penalty and the decision to remove Kronwall from the game was based on Havlat getting knocked out, not the nature of the hit. This is just about as clean a hit as you can ask for, unfortunate he got knocked out, but thats life and thats hockey. AND then his own goon jumps Kronwall and bodies fall on his motionless, injured teammate. Real smart. Here's the part of the story where I lose my temper and faith in officiating (like Round 2, Game 3 hadn't quite killed it all): instead of what I saw as clean hit being retaliated with goonery, their guy in the box or at the very least one from each side with offsetting minors, Franzen serves Kronwalls 5 minute major "interference" and we have to play without our number 3 defenseman for a game! Still fuming about it.... the league is honestly doing all it can to alienate the hardcore fan (me among others)

Hell yeah. I knew the Wings wouldn't sweep, and I honestly thought this would be the game the Hawks would win, but the fact that the Wings got absolutely hosed in the first period is cause for absolute fury. It was a joke. Furthermore, just like the Hawks were talking s*** against Iginla and the Flames in their first round, Burish made an ass of himself over a damn blocked shot on Lidstrom, getting in the grill of the classiest guy on ice. 15 second later, Nick canned one to start the comeback. Hawks owe that game to their captain bleeding on a high stick and Havlat getting filled in, which drew the after-the-fact sympathy from a linesman who must have seen his first clean hit tonite and didn't know what to do besides suggesting Kronwall get the boot. Not surprised the Wings lost this game, but how they lost it in the 1st period made me ill, losing even more faith the NHL. Plenty of good comes out of this loss, none from the zebras tho, who more and more frequently are deciding hockey games.

This Team is Too Lazy at the Beginning of Games

The Wings have had some horribly slow starts.... tonite was not one of them. 4 minute double minor for High Stick 5 minute major for "interference" 2 minute minor for can't even recall, just remember laughing Thats 11 minutes of PK after 6 good minutes of 5-on-5 hockey in the first 20 minutes of play. The refs were hilariously bad tonite, and the fact the Wings were able to get such a game to overtime still baffles me. -
Still spitting mad about it...... CLEAN ASS HIT. Maybe Martin "Injury Magnet" Havlat should keep his head up when he decides to squat on the puck like hen on egg.
-
horrible game by Ward, plenty of softies. Crosby and Malkin have torn through the weak East. I wonder who the league gives the Smyth in a scenario where the Wings win the cup, beating Pittsburgh, Malkin outscoring Crosby. I'm a firm believer that the MVP should go to the winning team unless there is an absolutely disgusting margin of dominance INCLUDING the Finals. I don't believe a team that loses in the Finals whose big star was shut down in the Finals should have that star win based on padding the stats in the previous rounds. Anyone else have thoughts on that scenario?

Take any group of any fans of any league, edit their responses in or out of context and you can make anyone look stupid, I think they could have done a much better job of doing so. FAIL "Detroit sucks!" is adorable, considering we've won more cups in the past decade the Blackhawks have in franchise history. Its cute in its level of childishness and how wide spread it is in Chicago. If you call an apple an orange, doesn't make it an orange folks.

"No Elite Goaltending Left In The 2009 Playoffs"

Tremendous stupidity. Honestly, its impressive. It makes no sense. None. -
I don't hate the Blackhawks because we have never seriously been threatened by them. For the most part, they don't goon it up like Anaheim or Calgary and they are fun to watch. I did hate seeing Byfuglien get away with that little acting job on Osgood, but other than that, it isn't a series yet. Maybe they'll do something to help me hate them in Chicago.
