What is the point of comparing those games? Howard had 2 deflections that he had no chance on. Osgood had 2 that he had basically no chance on. Howard>Osgood this year still.The OT one was definitely weak but he has been there for this team all year.

Seriously your love for the guy is ridiculous. Howard is winning and that is all that matters. I like Ozzie but he is not the starting goalie anymore. Move on. He didn't get a bunch of starts you are right but if Babcock plays him and he doesn't find his game then we are not in the playoffs this year. He put his chips on Howard and so far it is working. That is true but it hasn't been the story of the year for Howard.

Nobody is saying the team didn't look like s***. Ozzie and the team improved in the 3rd but it was too little too late. Howard has put this team in the playoffs. The rare bad game for Howard this year is excusable. This team has looked terrible in front of Howard at times to but Howard made the saves when he needed to.

Ya. Only 5 percent but I have never heard of Sean Avery rated as an allstar. Nobody hates Wade Redden or Scott Gomez. With his style he should have flourished in Calgary's system. Now that he is on Burkes team he is expected to do the same but so far he hasn't. He is indeed overpaid and overrated.

That is part of the problem though. If we played Ozzie more we may have only had 3 more games left to worry about Howard getting hurt. I think it's kinda like a double edge sword. If we played Ozzie more it may have been in vain. Since we didn't it is all on Howard and Ozzie won't be in a groove if needed. Who is to even know he would have found his groove at all. Tricky situation but I think Babcock handled it fine.

I had to live with Calgary media for the last 5 years. His rookie year was good but he's been a bust ever since. Unless of course you talk to Flames fans and listen to Pierre Maguire or watch CBC. Pronger and Avery not labeled overrated. They aren't. They are hated though, way more than Phaneuf.

It was just inevitable that we would win it over the past how many years. It still looks pretty useless hanging from the rafters if you don't have a Stanley Cup banner hanging near it with the same year though.

To be fair to Babcock, if this team consistently played bad in front of Ozzie from November on until now we very well could be looking in at the Flames. Ozzie gets 5 more starts and only 1 win we aren't in. We clinched while being 5 points up. Babcock did what he had to do to get us into the playoffs. Honestly, can anyone guarantee that Ozzie would have improved and the team would play better around him with more starts? No. Babs did what he had to do.

I read the whole thing but that's Ottawa not Winnipeg. You don't know what will happen. Flames are in the 2nd smallest hockey market yet are in the top half in revenues. None of the major corporate sponsors are oil based except for the one that has the nameing rights to the building. How do they survive. Same goes for Edmonton. -

There are corporate dollars now and the operating costs of the franchise would be lower now due to the Canadian dollar being close to par with the American. Consensus in the media and even hints from the NHL seems to put Winnipeg as the forerunners for a new franchise if it happens. Doesn't mean much but it is all the talk right now. BRING BACK THE JETS!!! -
