That is such a useless argument. Prior to the break up of the Soviet Union they dominated because they could send their absolute best every Olympics. The Russians won once after the break up and still had tons of great players at the time. Russia, Sweden, Czech, Canada and Sweden. That is when I would start counting. I would say that 1980 could be included because it was so amazing. Every great NA player was a pro. Lots of countries held there players back for the reason of playing in the Olympics.

I hate them when they are playing for their respective clubs. That is it. It is easier to get pissed at the ones I don't like during the regular season when they aren't playing good. I wanna look at Perry's uglt face and see a gold medal around his neck none the less. Country over club.

This could be the start of something great for you guys or it could also just be a hard working bunch of kids who will lose it after awhile. It is the same type of situation. Myers did not start playing real competitive hockey until he came to Canada and played at Notre Dame. If he was to have stayed in Texas I doubt he would be the player he is today.

I agree. Everyone on hear who was not a Team Canada fan thought that Russia would wipe the floor with us. I also agree with Original-Six. That was terrible job not pulling Nabokov and no most aren't surprised that he choked. Getting the match ups would not have mattered though. Canada purely dominated every aspect of the game.

Not sound like an ass but my team plays against NHLer's during the summer and our team manages to compete.

It wasn't me that said it wasn't a sport. I prefer not to watch it because I don't find it entertaining. To me, watching womens hockey is extremely boring. I find there skills lacking compared to the skill level I want to watch. Who gives a f*** that I don't like womens hockey?

No. Hitting is illegal. Body checking is a penalty.

Fitness alone does not make you a good hockey player. She played in the 3rd division in Sweden. Getting cut from the first team she tried out for. I'm sure a lot of players who are no longer playing competitive hockey have more skill then her but could play in the 3rd division in Sweden.

Sorry. It doesn't make a difference. Womens hockey is terribly painful to watch for me. There is no hitting. There skill level is below that of any major junior player. I'll pass thanks.
