We jump on the players are not doing that great but this team as a whole is not playing great. Fil should not take Dats minutes becasue he has played well for a few games. If his play slips he will be the next one with his own thread. The Bertuzzi sucks thread is a joke now. This season is definitely a bust but it is not becasue of individual players. Points wise Dats get a lot of assists and if nobody can finish his passes it's not his fault. Same goes for goals. When see trys a cross crease pass but gets blocked Dats can't score. This season is a bust from a team perspective. Everybody on the team is playinmg badly for the majority of teh game and it is all relative.

Datsyuk has was not terrible tonight but Z was. Who gets Zetterberg's minutes then.Helm? Fil has looked good but I think taking away minutes from our top players is dumb. He hasn't been bad defencively and I would rather have him out there in most situations then anyone else.

Yikes. To be fair to Sutton it seemed to me that Dupuis was going to skate with it instead of stopping dead with his back to the play but it shouldn't be an excuse. I think the suspension is fine it didn't seem there was much intent to injure Dupuis but still punishable.

With all that being said yes you are right but you seem to brush off Ozzie's numbers from his Blue's and Islander's numbers. Save percentage may be trivial to some but but it is the most telling stat for a goaltender. It is efficiency. Over the last 10 years Ozzie has not been a very efficient goaltender. This isn't including playoffs where he has been by far the best playoff goaltender over the last 2 years. I want to see Ozzie do good but I would like to put the Wing's first and get them points becasue Ozzie won't get a chance to be his playoff self if they aren't even in the playoffs. Ozzie puts the pressure on himself by going to the media with his comments. If he doesn't criticize Bab's we aren't talking about him right now. He made himself the flavour of the month. As much as the decision to play Ozzie against the Cap's wasn't the most sympathetic by Bab's, he is still payed to play hockey. He practices with the team every game and is in game shape. Yan Danis and Curtis Mcelhinney are in game shape and need to step in and play when needed and they are not as good as Ozzie. Bab's threw Ozzie in to a game that potentially could have been one sided but it wasn't and Ozzie should have taken advantage of it. I don't really buy that he was cold so we shouldn't be suprised at the result. It's not an excuse. He didn't play bad but Howard has played better and we need that.

I think having local feeds hurts the West a little in this sense. In the east people who will watch the Bruins for example have their games at the regular time 7 o'clockish. once their game is done they have no need to watch anymore. Unlike me who will watch any game that is on, some people don't care enough to watch other teams. I'm sure even here in Canada throughout the regular season, they have more viewers for longer periods of time out west because of the late game. My point is, they can't broadcast west games earlier because they would not get the viewers that they get now. Nobody is going to stop watching their local feed to watch San Jose vs. Dallas. As much as this guy writing the article doesn't like it there are more viewers in the eastern USA. It may be big in California but not bigger then the east.
