I do agree with this for sure. It is a misconception by non-Wing fans that since the central div. was so week before that it was a a gimme for us. We had more friggin' trouble with the central division teams then I think any other in the league regardless of how good we were.

They may have a few more stars and have a few more players to choose from but the American talent pool isn't especially deep. I hope his fighting comes in handing for you guys at the Olympics. Late addition to team USA: His mustache scares little children.

You sound like a Leaf's fan with that comment. It's been a half a season of bad hockey after nearly two decades of great hockey. Come on. Things will turn around. If not this year then next. My buddy(Leaf's fan) is right about us. We have been spoiled. Now we sound like babies.

Even if Howard wins a cup this year, no team on earth outside the KHL is gonna pay the kid more then 3 mil a year. There is more of a need to rush him seeing as how he needs the experience and nobody else is ready to play this role yet. Ozzie is a safe back up for the playoffs and should be transitioning to the full time back up. We need to rush Howard so we can see what kind of playoff goalie he is. I don't care if he's bad as long as he shows promise. We aren't winning a cup this year. We get to the second round and that will be fine with me. There is no pressure this year, it's perfect for Jimmy. If we some how get to the finals he would have gone above and beyond what was asked of him. There is no need for Ozzie to start. We aren't going for the cup and we need to see what this kids got.

Howard was definitely not bad tonight. He didn't have any help at all and made some nice saves when he had to. Ozzie had no help but still did f*** all. It isn't fair to judge him on this I know but Howard didn't play that bad condiering who played in front of him.

This is bang on the way a coach should run a club and I'm hoping this is what Bab's goes for.

Lose 2 games? How about just play poorly? He could stop 50 shots in a loss. If he gets a the shot we should ride him win or lose unless of course they are blow outs and he's terrible.

The goalie very much so can be the make or break. If you look back at the finals over the last 15 years every team that won and most every team that lost had amazing goal-tending all the way through. We don't win the cup without Ozzie in 08. The same could be said for other aspects but goalies steal games. I'm comfortable with either at this point as well but Howard is our future and needs to get in those games. He surprised most us this year as well as the Wing's brass. Now we have to adjust to the new situation. Jimmy is showing more promise then ever and needs to be tested.

Well to be fair the Isle's aren't as lowly as the Cane's on Thursday at home. Maybe Bab's will put him in then. In a comfortable environment against a lowly team.

Seeing the situation we are in this year we will be in the bottom 4 if we make it. Considering that we continue to linger outside the 8th spot it is definitely an if. When playoff time comes and Howard is still playing at the level he is showing now, I think this would be as great of time as any to give him a taste of the post season. We are in the bottom, there isn't that much pressure to win it all. Being a Wing's fan this year as opposed to other years I'm not expecting a cup. Not that I wouldn't like it but lets be realistic. Ozzie got in because Hasek faltered. Ozzie started the next year because he had won it the year before and Conklin was not potentially our goaltender of the future. Jimmy is just that. They have invested a lot of time in this kid. They may go with Ozzie but in my opinion, what better opportunity do the Wing's have to get this kid his first playoff experience? Next season should look a bit different come playoff time if we don't have the same string of injuries. Expectations will be higher next year. So I say let the kid play. Edit: Now that I think of it, he is older then me. I shouldn't be calling him kid.

That said it all pretty good.

Why? He served his time and got his life together. I don't who else so his interview with Kypreos but he is a completely different person know. He admits it wasn't Frost he wanted dead but his father. He knows it was a mistake and he handled it wrong. Let him play. He also mentioned that prior to the interview he had been on the ice and has not lost his speed. For someone who has been away from the game as long as he has to not have lost a step is pretty impressive. I hope he makes the best of it.
