It's a huge deal! Spectators trying to effect the outcome of a game in any way should not be tolerated and the guy should be banned.

We have entered a new age. Howard looks to be the future. We can't be scared to try him out. Ozzie is the man and we will have him if we need him but Howard needs the experience and what better time to give it to him. If he is still playing this well come playoff time I would play him. If Ozzie really as amazing as we have all seen then he will be able to turn it on if we do need him. If we do get in we will be in the bottom 4 and there won't be to much pressure and I think that's a great place for Jimmy to start.

If they know the puck is in then they would stop it right away and call it a goal. Not every close call ends up a goal like that. If a guy is gonna cheap shot someone because he thinks it's coming back then he is just an idiot. If it's not a goal and he still gets the penalty, he will get an earful. If it is a goal an it is canceled I'm sure Campbell will not let it go unpunished.

Ya, it should be all or nothing. It's just the rule itself is a little out there. I doubt any team that scored, play went on, then they scored again would claim they are rightly owed two goals. That's what you said the rule was there to stop,right? I think it was you at least.

Vancouver is full of rich immigrants who don't respect the game. Calgary is the same. Not to say that the guy was one of them because I have no idea but going to a Canucks or Flames game is considered trendy. They don't go because they love hockey. They go to show off how rich they are in their 500 dollar seats and so other people can see them there. This may sound like a mean post but god they piss me off and this just reeks of something they would do. Edit:To be more specific Asian and middle eastern immigrants. Not all but the ones who want to be considered trendy.

Maybe it's the WWE that should look out not the NHL after all.

Every Leaf fan will admit they are terrible. They love hockey and they are passionate about the Leaf's. Again yes they will admit they suck but they will always be the best in their hearts. It sounds cheesy but if the Wing's ever turn into the Leaf's again they will still be the best in my eyes. Like SweWings said to some it's a religion. I'm one of them. Hockey is not a hobby to me. Besides family there really isn't anything else that seems as important.

I don't think I have met a Canadian who thinks we are the odds on fav. to win the Olympic gold. Juniors is a different story. Why do you think the weight of a nation is on Stevie Y's shoulders. It's expectations. Every big country expects to win. The Canadian media makes a huge deal out of it because it means so much to us and I don't know why that comes of as arrogance to you. Team USA is going for gold not for 5th place. Not as many people care about it in the States though so they won't get tons of coverage or a huge build up outside of the hockey community. We have confidence in our players. We hope they win but to think that most Canadians think we are the favorites is just nuts. TSN is a Canadian channel. What else do you expect? I do agree with you though that it is annoying. The majority of Canadians are fans of Canadian teams so can you really blame them for showing longer highlights. I don't like it and sometimes I have to sit through some basketball just to get the Wing's highlights.

Can't that issue be easily fixed? If that scenario happened you just have a rule that erases the play. There doesn't really need to be a rule that says you can't have 2 goals on the same stoppage. Or even allow everything to stay the same. A penalty, penalty shot or a goal(as long as it it isn't another Pen's goal). That rule seems kinda redundant and really defies common sense.

That seems that it favored the team that got scored on first. I would be pissed if they didn't count my goal because my shot was to fast.

Which has a lot to do with develpment. So Cherry saying we are the best at developing players isn't exactly a lie.

Howard is basically on pace to set the same numbers as Mason did last season. He won't have the shutouts but that's not really a huge deal. It's all speculation anyways. He must maintain the same level of play he has had lately. If he does that there is no reason that he can't be an actual contender. Tavares has been hot and cold. Trust me, I have the guy in my pool. He hasn't been spectacular and shares the rookie point lead with Duchene. Mason's Calder numbers were 33 wins 2.44 GAA 91.6 SV%. I believe those numbers are accurate. Howard has 16 wins 2.14 GAA and 92.8 SV% If he he can be as good and as consistent as he has been lately I think it will be hard for them to pick someone other then him unless of course Myers slows down or Duchene or Tavares heat up.

I didn't even know the numbers until you mentioned them. I looked them up my self and wow there is a lot of gold around the Americans necks.

They produce prospects who turn into great NHL players. Russians, Swedes and Americans produce great players yet they seem to have a hard time when they are younger. I don't see the correlation. You say that it's not that big of a deal in Europe but if you are a good player you are a good player. The only thing I could see here is the development in countries other then Canada isn't as good in the rest of the world.
