If you look at NHL.com, Jimmy is getting way more attention then Tavares these days. His play this season hasn't warranted him a Calder yet but if he plays like this for the rest of the year it will be hard for them to not vote for him. He is also a good story about a guy on his last leg when it comes to NHL hockey. His last shot and finally started playing up to his potential. Who wouldn't like that story?

He obviously wasn't referring to the score board or the turnover he had that turned into a goal. They out shot us by 10 but Jimmy performed great. Nabokov on the other hand did not.

Tavares is far from a Crosby or an Ovechkin. If Jimmy continues his play and we make the playoffs because of it that seems like a bigger storey then Tavares is the leading scorer on a sub par Islander's team as usual.

Is this about me? I think I was the one talking about US hockey coming along way in the last 15 years in a previous post. They have come along way. Finland, Russia, Sweden, Czechs and Canadians all used to own them in international competition.
