That's hilarious! haha

You are giving me your opinion on the leagues disciplinary actions. Not why you believe he should made an example off.
-
I see what you mean. But punishing Richards would serve what purpose? It's not a dirty hit by definition.
-
I still fail to see where you are using it in this argument? Are you directing it at me? Or the game??
-
Maybe translate that to english for me. I'm obviously not as smart as you.
-
Personally I never would and no there shouldn't be a suspension. I compare it to the Richards hit. It is basically identical except it was way later than Richards. When it comes to hitting though maybe it is best to take it out. As stevkrause says today is away different time. The evolution of the sport may be leaning towards removing it. Maybe it is to fast to allow gus to fly around on skates smoking each other.

The game has become pussified. It should be black and white. A guy comes in arms tucked, stays on his feet and lays a solid open ice check, too ******* bad for the guy who got clocked. If a guy comes in leading with an elbow, taking a huge run, hitting from behind or coming in high and take some guys head off intentionally, then for sure enforce it. There was never a problem until the new NHL. There are way to many questions trying to be asked during incidents. When Don Sanderson hit his head on the ice during a fight it was huge!. Should fighting be taken out? Should they leave helmets on? It's a new media coverage as well. Having guys in between benches doing the colour. It used to be play by play and post game interviews. Now they are on the benches and right in the players faces. They stir stuff up while down there.( I'm talking more about Pierre). The media stirs up controversies on there panels and on and on and on. Just let them play. There were less head injuries before all the rule changes. There is no NHL player playing in the league right now that grew up playing with the new rules. It's still in transition. To punish them for playing how they were taught is just not right.

It's ironic that Howe is your avatar.haha The Kariya hit in that video. Do you find that in need of a suspension?
-
Would you take hitting out of the game?
-
I love the old NHL. Stevens was amazing. He would be kicked out of the league for his hit on Kariya now. As Grapes would, "BAAWANGO!!!"

If Booth was looking where he was going he would have seen Richards. In my books that's the same as having your head down. Cutting across centre ice not paying attention is astupid move by Booth. Yes they need new leadership but whoever they bring in will not fix the problem so there is no point. The NHL and some of the players ruined this game during the lockout with the rule changes and trying to make it more entertaining to southerners. I'll never stop watching it but I will never feel that the new NHL is an improvement.

Wisniewski's, sure. Ohlund, of course not. Richard's I will defend forever that there was no intent, no elbows, stayed on his feet, thus no suspension and not even a penalty. It's the same with the kid from Kitchener. Don't put yourself in a vulnerable position because you will get hit. That's the game. It's there own fault. Ohlund had contact will Kessels head, very little but still some. Maybe it was safer for him to come in with his forearms. Ohlund is taller. What happens if he leads with his shoulder. Shoulder to head contact for sure and probably a concussed Kessel. The way people have been taught to hit all there lives is now grounds for suspension? Taking out the clutching and grabbing has made the game faster but also has made it more dangerous. With the size of the players, the size of the pads the speed that they are traveling at is just a recipe for disaster. If everything is going to turn into a head hit penalty take hitting out of the game and just allow people to rub guys out on the boards. I for one never want to see it taken out. There have always been head shots. Majority of hits have some slight contact with head. They have made the game more dangerous the fans and the players just have to deal with it.
-
Ya. The shoulder pads and elbow pads are ridiculous. All they help protect is from the puck. They are a dumb idea.
-
Contact with the head is the only point I'm trying to make. It's a sarcastic thread of how stupid the argument actually.
-
You are helping me prove my point. I agree with you. There was no intent. There was slight contact with the head though. Which to me is fine. My point is there are so many threads. This a sarcastic thread up until the talk about the refs.
-
It's pretty good looking video.
-
He caught him in the chin and that picture is definitely not proving a point. Kessel has a cut lip after the, he also wears a mouth guard. Not really a chance of biting his lower lip. He got hit in the face and not by Ohlund's sweater.

As I was listening football tonight I found out what hockey needs.
