My logic is Carcillo very rarely loses to fight and beats the s*** out of people and had more knockouts he had the balls to take on Ivinanns he also got a hattrick last year, he has much more potential than lucic, i think lucic's talent level has been reached. There both good players but put carcillo in the right enviournment and he's guaranteed to thrive, he's a severe work in progress though. -
did they not have shelley last year anyways look how far that got them, its mcclellan and boyle thats whos making hte difference

The wings can not just go out and get an enforcer, we see hom much downey sucks at playing the game, we need guys like Carcillo or Lucic but theres no way we can unless we draft them, we dont need jodi shelley or godard or mcgrattan who apparently is having substence abuse problems

Idk, Carcillo is a one man wrecking crew, but Lucic is putting up good points, i think Carcillo would do the same if he was on say a line with Pavel and hank, Lucic is of course playing wiht Kessel and savard. Id love to see these two fight although i think Carcillo would be the one roughing lucic up. -
Zetterberg and Datsyuk were playing to their abilities, Hossa had a goal, and Franzen was dangerous. too bad Raycroft made some uncharacteristically good saves, this will happen alot and it already has happened a few times, the teams we play are playing thier best games against us, yes, other guys need to step it up, but it really is the kind of adversity that a team needs to repeat and thats one of the reasons why it happens.

Take Carcillo and Neil out of the goon category, at least carcillo, the man is a good player, he's the player not on the wings i most want ot have. He would take far less penalties here and contribute far more offensively. -

Tjhe Blues are further west than the Wings, wouldn't affect them more using this theory? it sure didn't hurt the Rangers this year.

We all know the west will win the cup this year barring a huge upset, although i would say Boston probably will be the best in the East, they are far more convincingly beating opponents than the Sharks i'd say. But probably if you go down the line in the west even teams like Chicago, Calgary, and Nashville may be better than them.

I just wonder how when we are down we always have to rely on a blatant high stickign penalty or delay of game while the Penguins always have like 2 consecutave 5 on 3s handed to them
