they both didnt really have any big hits in game 3 i expect them to change that in game 4

I agree orpik is a shut down defensman but kronwall is being groomed by Norris Nik himself and already has shown great ability in pinching guys off the puck and closing lanes to the net, he's more of a hitter in the open ice neutral zone but he does use his body effectively in the D zone much like orpik, so there defensive qualities are pretty much equal but thats the only place i see orpik even come close to competing with kronwall and kronwall has much greater potential. he has also tightened up in his defensive zone as well as make very smart decisions, something he lacked previously and has left him in these playoffs.

Orpik dosent have the ability to change the pace of the game with his hits, shortly after this shift the wings scored, when krowall hits guys he gets them looking, ive seen sykora nearly s*** himself and dodge several hits from kronner while giving the puck up in the process, orpik is more of a roadblock, im not saying hes a bad hitter hes very persistent and can wear the opposition somewhat, but possesses nowhere near the skills of Kronwall physically, defensively, and especially offensively.

And if you watch kronwall leaves hit feet (barely) after contact which is perfectly legal, i will admit hit first one against nashville was a total charge and deserved 4 minutes, but after that he controlled himself, i will say the hit on ruutuu was a bit supermanlike. but the refs could give two s***s about ruutuu and he was probably getting some kind of justice, his blast on malone, kennedy, whoever else he pasted were all legal, and all of the ones in the stars and avalanche series were all pretty clean, this guy is a hunter, he dosen't have to leave hit feet to make a huge hit nor does he use forearm or do anything dangerous, he has made a few extremely brutal hip checks and some great shoulder checks so far.

Because you eat breathe and s*** crosby, if i saw them doing that to pavel or z and seen p or z do that i know there acting trying to get a call, the problem is crosby sucks at it and the refs can tell so they won't call it
