I'll put my hand up here. It is July, and I'm content actually. Right now, we haven't made a stupidly ridiculous signing to try and get an overpriced, over rated upgrade who would barely help us. This way, we've got a better chance of having more kids contribute and transitioning the team into allowing them to take us forward in the future. I'm probably one of the few left here who are quietly confident this team will be a lot better than last season.

First things first. Agents on the whole I think are half the reason why salaries are constantly being driven up. The other half are GMs competing against each other But for Niskanen, I don't see it being Sheehy's fault for making it a waiting game. When you look for a job, I think sometimes, if you have several options, you'd take your time making that decision. Niskanen might be about to commit the next 7 years of his life to a city. There;s tons to think about, and I'm not sure how that can be done that quickly in a day when he's got all these offers on the table. That said, as a fan, I would have liked to have seen him signed somewhere by now.

That really, if you ask me, seemed to have nothing to do with Tampa. If Stevie wasn't pulling the strings for team Canada, I think St Louis would still be there.

And that would be a horrible mistake. In 4 years that will be a horrible deal IMO. Standing pat in a weak free agent market may actually turn out to be a very smart move for KH

There have actually been absolutely no indications of the Wings intentions (that have been mentioned today) of re-signing Quincey. Until it happens, there's no point even discussing it IMO
